    Picky cat like it!

    By on

I am trying to transition my kitty over to freeze dried food with a crunch like kibble, because she loves her kibble. So far, so good. She is enjoying a mix of kibble ant VE rabbit nibs. My intention is to totally get her off kibble due to allergies, weak tummy. The nibs are large, so I do blend them in a processor to break them down. The pieces are large enough for a dog to eat. My only complaint.

    The best we've found

    By on

We thoroughly love spoiling our cats. So far, out of an amazing variety of foods and treats, this is the absolute favorite of our kitties. We have a selection of favorite foods and treats, but it's this bag that our cats tap the most.

    Too hard to eat

    By on

This gets three stars because my cat was definitely interested in this food, but the pieces were so hard, even after soaking in water for a while, that he couldn't chew on them. He got frustrated and gave up. When I poured it into the disposal, it sounded like it was grinding rocks. :\

    This got a big no

    By on

I don't know how people get their cats to eat freeze dried food. Mine want nothing to do with this. I have one inside kitty and 5 outside kitties. Nope. Some of them will at least try it once, but not eat it again. Others sniff it and look at me like I've lost my mind. I like the concept, but the reality is that this it's not appealing to the kitties.

    My cat loves this

    By on

Vital Essentials Rabbit Mini Nibs - my cat looks forward to this eagerly every morning and gets me up at 5 AM to feed it to him. I mix it with Caru Stew to rehydrate the nibs. Never feed this dry. It's not kibble.

    We love it!!!

    By on

This is an excellent food. My cats are crazy about it as well as the VE freeze dried raw treats. If you choose to hydrate this food it takes some time and effort. Mine prefer it as is. Since my babies eat wet food and are off kibble completely I think it’s ok to give them this type of “dry” food. The only problem is it is expensive and goes fast, so one bag for 2 adult cats as an overnight food barely lasted 10 days. But it’s worth every penny.

Excellent, permanent addition to their menu

    By on

Cats love this product. I use it as a topper and treat. Very happy with ingredients and nutrition, providing a diverse protein. They are crunchy but not too hard, large enough for the cats to chew each piece instead of swallowing whole. This is now a staple in their menu.

    Major hit with this one!

    By on

I bought one bag to try as we know how cats are picky. Kate loves these Rabbit Nibs! As much as I put out, she will eat it over anything else. I actually have to limit how much she gets or she’d eat the whole bag in a day. When I first gave them to her, she sniffed and pulled one out of the bowl. Proceeded to play with it over the next day or so then ate it. Since that day, she can’t get enough of this food. If you try this and your cat doesn’t take to it right away, just leave it there. It’s new to them and they may like it eventually.

    Too Expensive

    By on

All of my cats adore this food and the ingredients are the best I've seen on even other freeze dried raw foods, however it's way too expensive when I have 3 cats and have a limited income. Even measuring it out based on serving size (and as only one of their meals per day), I seemed to go through it faster than I thought I had calculated I would. I may buy again and give it as treats now and then, though that's all I can afford this to be.
