4 Customer Questions
Do these smell bad? Trying to find a goat horns option that doesn't smell absolutely horrible.
Answer by • Nov 11, 2020
Goat horns commonly have a strong smell to them. WAG recommends cleaning your Goat Horn in hot water and drying thoroughly after your dog chews it. It’s a great way to starve off bacteria, keeping the Goat Horn fresh and reducing the smell significantly.
So these come with marrow on the inside?
Answer by • May 05, 2022
This treat is not filled with marrow. When goat horns come empty, you can double the number of creative opportunities to get your dog interested. Like an occupied toy (but natural), you can stuff them with peanut butter, soak them, or freeze them. Fill them with whatever your dog likes best. For dogs, scooping out a hidden treat is a form of reward. Giving them the chance to feel like they’ve achieved or resolved a trick engages their senses and keeps them occupied for longer.
What size dog is the small one good for? My pup is about 34 pounds and a terrier mix
Answer by • Aug 26, 2019
The size of this chew should correspond with the size of the dog. Small breeds are generally considered to be up to 25 pounds. Medium breeds are generally between 25 and 50 pounds. Large breeds are generally between 50 and 100 pounds.
I want to buy the small ones that have the "point" still on the antler (using for an outdoor art project) how can I get 10 from you with the "points " in place? and can they hang outdoors or they decompose?
Answer by • Mar 12, 2020
Each goat horn has a shelf life of 18 months from the point of purchase. It's recommended that you keep them in the dry shade, out of sunlight. They don't decompose, however they do become tough if they're left out in the sun or put under constant heat. Since these horns vary in shape and texture, they are shipped out at random depending on the availability of each warehouse.
