Answer by ChewyAug 17, 2018
The attachment combs included in this kit are 3 millimeter, 6 millimeter, 9 millimeter, 12 millimeter, 18 millimeter and 25 millimeter in lengths.

There are only lines for the blade lengths..instructions only show numbers from 5 to 1..which line goes w which blade length? Which number goes w what blade length?
Answer by ChewyDec 09, 2018
The cutting length can be adjusted to between 0.7 mm and 3 mm (5 possible positions) using the cutting-length adjustment integrated into the blade set. To do this, set the adjustment lever to the desired position (1-5) and let it snap into place. The appliance can also be operated with attachment combs. In order to achieve the indicated cutting length, the cutting length adjustment lever should be set to position 1. The following attachment combs are included as standard: 3 mm, 6 mm, 9 mm, 12 mm, 18 mm and 25 mm cutting lengths.

Hi, I have a Maine Coon, who tends to get pretty matted at the back. Does the blade on these clippers have some form of protection so that it is impossible to cut the skin?
Answer by ChewyJan 19, 2021
While the Wahl Bravura does not have a “fail safe” for protection, there are several things you can do as the groomer to prevent harm to your pet. First, always inspect your blade prior to use to ensure that no teeth are broken, the teeth are sharp, and the blade is well oiled. When using your clipper, you should always hold your pet’s skin taut and keep the blade flat with the skin. Lastly, it is common practice to desensitize your pet to the grooming process so they are not nervous and squirming away while you are trying to clip. Turning on the clipper and letting it run allows them to get accustomed to the sound and vibration.

Garbage and should be destroyed

3 months in and only used it 3 times. Battery is trash and dies after 5 min. The blades worked beautifully the first day, kinda questionable the second, third I thought I just needed to oil it, but the 4th is trash.

Declining quality and other issues

I had a Wahl Arco that broke after it dropped. I decided to order this as a replacement after doing a lot of research. The quality of the Bravura does not seem to match that of the Arco (which was a cheaper price). I had to dig around in the case to finally find the oil and brush (which I thought was missing). The brush is pretty substandard. Additionally, the clipper had little hairs on it, and the blade and plastic had nicks. I would say the construction of the plastic is also substandard and not what you would expect for a clipper that is almost $200. I had an $80 Andis I bought years ago that I would rate higher. Not sure why this brand are so hot in the grooming market.

I was expecting better...disappointed :(

I was expecting it to cut better, but it gets caught up in my yorkies hair.....I tried all different guards and still not impressed.

Great tool for beginners!

I am a complete novice grooming only our own dog. These clippers are great. I bought them because YouTube groomers recommended them. They are quiet with little vibration and don't overheat. They hold a charge for a long time, then recharge quickly. They come apart easily for cleaning. Five stars!

Bravura clippers $180

Had these clippers 2 months and they are not working because of low battery even while plugged into the wall. They specify that they work while charging, but they are not.

Worth the money

I absolutely love these clippers! I used a couple of other brands for years and they stalled and even when I had them plugged in they would pull my fur babies hair. These get it all and now it is so much easier to shave my poodles face! Very sharp though so I don't recommend using the shortest option without a guard.

Wonderfully "cool". Easy to use

Love this clipper. I had one in the past and loved it for my standard poodles. It doesn't get hot with use as the other versions do so no burning your dog. For the price tho, it would be nice to have higher quality blades-like the metal ones on the market.

Great clippers

I decided to start grooming my Miniature Schnauzer after he refused to be groomed in our new city. These clippers are quiet and so Sigi is tolerating them better than I expected; so much better than corded clippers I tried a few years ago. I've used them with one of the plastic attachment so the metal doesn't touch his skin but they haven't seemed to get hot. (My sessions are short though.) Still, I'm glad I purchased these clippers.

It's perfect

This is my second Bravura. I'm a professional groomer and it is the only clipper I use on paws, tummy, under carriage. It's quiet and it helps get the job done on anxious dogs that don't like hearing or feeling the loud clipper. It's light weight and the cordless option makes it more functional. Easy to clean each time.
