This product is compatible with the Wahl #10 Ultimate Competition Series combs.
Do I have to loosen the screws to change the blades and what kind of blades does it take

The blades are detachable and do not require the screws to be loosened. This clipper is compatible with the Competition and Ultimate Competition blades.
I take it the blade attachments are to be purchased separately?

Blades get hot quickly

We used the clipper maybe 4 times in a year. Blades always got hot right away and it’s noisy. By the time we got frustrated enough to request a return we were 2 days late past the return window :( Paid $279 for nothing.

Amazing Clippers

I have two ShihPoos who have thick, long, poodle hair and I have hand cut with scissors initially to get the matting out. Then I bought a couple of clippers that never would go thru their hair. Even clean, dry hair. So I went back to hand cutting with scissors which is very time consuming. I didn't realize that corded clippers have more power. I read a ton of reviews on Wahl and another brand and decided on Wahl. I was so impressed with the feel (quality) of the clippers, the blade is solid. I oiled per instructions, ran the clippers for a bit and then tried on one of my pups! OMG! It IS like cutting through butter. In about an hour's time I had both of the girls trimmed. They need a bit more, finishing touches, but for now I am super pleased. I was a bit skeptical about the cost, but it is so worth it. The quality, the performance, the relatively lightweight of the clippers. I love the long cord too. The clippers are not very loud at all. I highly recommend these clippers.

received used item

Definitely not the Chewy standard. I waited and waited for this clipper to get back in stock because it came recommended to me for my doodle and I ended up getting a used one. probably defective, not sure, but had hair all over the blade. The cord wasn’t wrapped up and the box had already been opened. I desperately needed this and now I have to wait to return it back before I can buy another. Very disappointing. I did plug it in and there’s no difference between the two speeds must be why it was returned?

Constantly misalign

When these clippers work they are amazing. BUT they constantly slip out of alignment. A groom that should take me about an hour takes closer to three because I'm constantly having to stop and realign the clippers so they'll cut again. When they aren't aligned, they just pull. It's awful.

It is good but the clippers won’t stay still

It is good overall. But the clippers can’t hold still and slip out of alignment easily. You may need to keep adjusting the clippers.

Best clippers by far

I have three Chows and one that seems to be allergic to everything. He would dig at himself until he had sores and bald spots. We tried different medications with the veterinarian and nothing seemed to last for long. Vet recommended shaving him down to control the matting and sores from digging at himself. These clippers cut through the mats and thick hair very smoothly and remained cool enough to finish him up in about an hour and a half’s time. They left him looking nice and he didn’t mind having it done. They were quieter than expected also. All in all worth the extra cost and would highly recommend these to anyone.

Unexpected!

I have 5 Schnauzers and have been grooming my own dogs for many years. I had a WAHL years ago and was disappointed, and since then only ANDIS, (many) including professional and rechargeable. Unfortunately, I have been really disappointed with ANDIS quality over past few years. So I decided to try WAHL again. I read lots of reviews all over the internet, and these seemed a good pick. I did not expect these clippers to be so incredibly lightweight AND quiet, and they stay remarkably cool, probably owing to being brushless. And the cut is far superior to other clippers I've owned. I bought a second! Very happy. Dogs happier too.

stopped working within a week of using them

I bought these clippers as a gift for my groomer/business partner. She was so excited to try them out. They lasted about a week. So disappointed. They were not cheap.

Did not work getting knots out of my cat. Waste of money. Disappointed.
