    Ehh... Kind of works.

By tdteason on Dec 31, 2020

I’m a big fan of Wahl products. Have had a dog clipper for 40 years that still works great. Own one of their cordless full clippers. This thing is ok but I end up using my Wahl cordless instead. It’s ok... Not their best.

Did not work for us - Wahl Pocket Pro Cordless Dog & Cat Trimmer

By MDNotADoctor on Oct 10, 2020

I was hoping this would do the trick for us, but alas, it did not. **We have a long-haired Maine coon whose fur gets matted at the base of her hair, next to her skin. She has arthritis and has trouble grooming herself. We use slicker brushes, wide teeth combs then narrower teeth combs. We have even tried 1 and 2 row flea-type combs. We just can't keep up with the 'lumpies' - they appear fully formed overnight. **The trimmer arrived, I read the instructions and put a 'guide' over the blades. I laid the trimmer upside down - meaning on the cutting side - on her side to let her get used to the vibrations. This is a trick I had seen a previous veterinarian use on her years ago. **Then, I started I was hoping this would do the trick for us, but alas, it did not. **We have a long-haired Maine coon whose fur gets matted at the base of her hair, next to her skin. It was so thick that it took immense effort to get it to try to penetrate even part of the lumpy. Eventually I removed one lumpy. The second, no luck. The blades were already dull. **I would NOT recommend this item for lumpy removal. Maybe it was not intended for that purpose but figuring it was a trimmer, I thought I would have some luck. **NOTE: I did not contact Chewy regarding this problem. I figured her fur lumps were just to dense for this product. … more

    Dont bother

By Debbie on Oct 3, 2020

I ordered this after seeing the recommendation in a pet first aid book. Small, battery powered, affordable, great! I used it once and was happy with the product. I pulled it out a week later and it was completely dead. Changed the battery, still completely dead. I threw away the packaging, so forget about returning it. It's a piece of junk. Dont bother. Completely disappointed

    Great tool

By DerrickM on Jun 30, 2020

Great trimming tool. Arrived as advertised. Quick delivery. Small trimmer but packs a punch. Great value. I use for small trim jobs around face and sensitive areas. I use it on my Pomeranian and my Yorkie. I’ve seen negative reviews about doesn’t cut good. I wouldn’t recommend for a full cut as it is a Trimmer. I can see it working great for small animals as well such as rabbits, etc. I guess you could do a full cut But would have to take your time. It is a great trimmer. Works Great for my thick double coated Pomeranian and for my silky coat Yorkie. I primarily use it for my touch ups, for sanitary trimmings, trim fur under paws, trim face area and touch up other areas. Portable for on Great trimming tool. Arrived as advertised. Quick delivery. Doesn’t last

By Jeanne on Sep 26, 2020

I burned the motor out of two of these in short order trimming my large golden/lab’s paws. I have a Conair now that is up to the job. This one wasn’t.

    Pet or Human?

By Jayla on May 31, 2020

So I bought these because I have a thick haired lion haired rabbit, and he sweats quite a bit. I figured that clipping him would make him more comfortable, unfortunately these clippers didn't do the job. I had to quit because the motor was getting too hot. I expected better because I have used Wahl clippers in beauty school cutting hair. Man after cleaning these up I was able to use them on my Nana's Bf's arm and it cut just fine which is why they got three stars.

    Puppy Razor

    By cj46 on Aug 10, 2020

I have had one of these before. Works great for in between grooming clean up. Safe to use on puppy's that don't want to hold still. Highly recommend.

    Loud and Dull

    By Nagatron22 on Apr 22, 2020

Loud and dull is not what you’d expect from a hair trimmer but that’s what you’ll get here. Number one- The unit is way too loud to be effective for most dogs, particularly ones with sensitivity to loud noises. Number two- the blades were so dull it would’ve taken me 20 minutes to do one paw. My personal beard trimmer is quieter and sharper than this. I had hopes for this unit but was thoroughly disappointed. Not what I expected from a brand like Wahl.

Perfect for little fixes and trims

By kameisfarm on May 8, 2020

This product exceeded my expectations. Yes this is not something used to shave your whole dog; but to shave their paws, booties and little fixes this works great! We also have a nervous dog who hates going to the groomers, but had no problem sitting there while we trimmed his legs and butt; shaver is not loud at all.
