these little , rather QUIET, clippers are great for hair mats and light trimming . Fit perfectly in your hand, and do not scare the animals!
This vibrates more and is louder than my dremel, definitely wouldnt consider it quiet. I do like that it comes with blade covers so you can use it to trim longer spots. Maybe for horses or dogs who are used to loud trimmer but mine isnt so I cant use it.
My border collie grows lots of toe fur and he isn’t big on me messing with his feet. Prior to this, I cleaned between his toes with standard sized dog clippers and he made the process take much longer than necessary. These little clippers are quiet enough that he has no problem with them between his toes and now a job that once took nearly 30 minutes has been trimmed down to 10
I'm only giving these a 3 star rating because they are really loud! I love the size and they are super-convenient for shaving certain areas of my mini schnauzer. I was hoping I could use them on his ears and around his face. He gets groomed often and is used to having his ears and face trimmed, but these are quite loud and they freak him out when I get close to his ears or face with them. If your dog is OK with loud noises, then these would be perfect. They are very handy and convenient.
This was delivered Dec 6th 2021 and is completely dead as of November 1st 2022, so it lasted 11 months. We have a golden retriever and it was used exclusively to trim her pawpads so it was not heavily used at all, I'd say maybe 5-7 times total? While it worked, it was fantastic. But the motor failed rather quickly. I did like the product, which is why I'm so disappointed it failed so quickly.
Junk junk junk . Save your money. Plus cost for return. Not worth time
Not completely quiet, but quiet enough. It worked great getting the hair off of my cats paws, and I love the small size of it. Would definitely recommend
I have only used once since getting, I used them to trim the little hairs in our Great Perrinis ears that seem to tickle and make him shake his head. Worked pretty good. Next I will be trimming the hair from his paws so he doesn't slide so much on the kitchen floor. We wont be taking him back to a groomer, the last one did a horrible job and he hated it. Thats why I bought these little trimmers, next we will be looking for some sheep shears to do his grooming
Too lightweight for grooming a heavy-coat cat but works well on trimming around ears.
Pyrenean Mastiff pup is not a fan of me trimming the fur between her toes with scissors. She did not mind the Dremel for her nails. Tried this and it was loud and did not grip the hair at all when the short hair guard attachment was on. When I took the attachment off, it worked a little better but still not good enough. My dog did not have the patience for this.
