How many times do these sanding wheels last. Are all the wheels the same grinding strength?
Answer by ChewyJul 21, 2017
How long the sanding wheels last will depend on the length of the nail, the hardness, and how often they are trimmed. All of the sanding wheels are 60 grit.

Constantly adjusting

I bought this as a replacement for our cordless dremel which the battery stopped charging in. Im really disappointed in the manufacturers quality. Each time its used we have to constantly stop and readjust the sanding belt on it. It comes loose so easily no matter how much you tighten it down before use.

Chewy you have to do better

As soon as I opened the box I knew I made a mistake. First I plug it in and it didn’t work till I flicked it on and off multiple times, feels cheap, I tried using it on my dog, it has no power, it is a very less powerful dremel tool that cost the same, I thought it would have a slot to put nail into, very hard keep nail on sanding drum for so long because the lack of power. I went by the name WAHL they have great products but missed it on this one

Broke before 1 year.

Didn't even last a year. Thanks again for the junk made items China. Now the landfill can know the value of short lived garbage. One good point to make here. Chewy has been very good to me. I called and informed of the brake and they are sending me another one. Let's hope it actually lasts longer than a year. Still, I wouldn't buy it again.

Low quality

It feels very cheap and low quality. I hate that it's not cordless. For the price it's not a good product. I will be returning it

Broke on the second use

This is a piece of junk. Second dog I went to use this on it broke and stopped spinning. Its an internal issue. My husband fixes equipment similar to this for a living so I know for a fact it was the internal parts that went not how I attached the grinding pads.

Has been better

The brand name is a great maker of dog grooming tools. This one could have been better. I like it because it is small enough to hold easily when doing the nails and is usually quiet. The one I bought before this(same thing) did not come with one of the pieces needed to do the job rather than send it back I had an old dremel I took the piece from and I was good. This last time when my vaccum cleaner ate the cord and I ordered the same thing it sounds like something inside the unit is loose but it works except not with the part sent with it so again I had to use what I already had. Didn't send it back because I didn't want to wait ,probably for another defective unit.

Stopped Working

We got one paw trimmed and two nails on the next paw. It turned off and never came back on again. A complete waste.

Bought Jan 2018, and it doesn't work anymore

I bought this in Jan 2018, used it less than once per month, and today I went and grabbed it and it just plain doesn't power on. Tested the outlet with other devices, it was fine. Tried plugging it into a different outlet, tried tightening/changing the head, nothing. Unit was not dirty, dusty or clogged with hair. It worked in February with no problems, I kept it clean, dry, and stored in a cabinet that's not under a sink or anything, so it couldn't have gotten wet. It just plain doesn't work anymore. It was decent while it worked, but I don't think it's worth paying for if it can't last light usage for more than 3 years. Very disappointing! For the price of it, it should work for more than 3 years, but the warranty is only for one year, so you can assume the manufacturer knows.

Not worth the price

Got everything set up and used it for 20 minutes then turned it off and let my dog move about for an hour. The grit on the paper was good. When I went to finish her nails the unit wouldn’t turn back on. I tried re-setting it up, turning it on with no paper in it, and every plug in my home. Still wouldn’t turn back on. Not worth the price.

Attachments don’t fit

Love the finder but the attachments are too big. The sandpaper things are too big. They slide off. I bought this to replace the one i had that worked great, i just lost it in a house fire. But either the main component is abnormally small or the sandpaper attachments are too big cause they slide off. Not sure if i need the grinder replaced or if i need new replacement attachments. They slide right off then i start it up
