My cat likes these duck treats too. Walk about duck cat treats not that same old chicken/fish concoction. Purity at its best. My cat recommends these treats per day at the same usual time. I give him 2 Per day. Walk about is great cat thoughtful, company.
When you order something new, you just never know if your cat will like it. Bella loves this!!!
Smelled like plastic. I got a dirty look and they walked away. Huge nope from my babies.
Both cats I have ate the treat first time but one cat refused the second time after biting something distasteful. The other cat refused the third time.
When I opened the bag, it smelled like really rancid oil. Maybe that is how freeze dried duck smells? I give my cats only all natural treats, and I've used other duck products before that didn't smell rancid. There's no oil added to smell rancid. My three cats were very excited as I broke open the bag first time. I was very hesitant to give it to them, and figured if the product was indeed rancid, they wouldn't eat it. But all 3 did, and I gave them just 3 pieces each in case it was going to make them sick. That went okay, and I've given to them two more times with no throwing up. Two times, I called the company's 800-number on the bag to ask them if the smell is normal, and the phone just rings until the call drops. I'd give it 5 stars if not for being concerned about the rancid smell.
Initially the cat gobbled the treats. Then he would not go near them. No amount of persuasion will entice him to go near them. They have a really horrible smell.. Is this normal ?
Our normal freeze dried duck treats are out of stock. So I decided to try these. Have tried 3 times, cats will not eat them. Not sure why.
My boys jump for joy when I shake the bag of Walk About Grain-Free Freeze Dried Duck Cat Treats! So glad to have discovered these treats as I wanted to expand their palate to include other raw, single source treats as my cats are on a balanced raw diet.
If your cat won't eat limited diet wet foods, try mixing a few of these in with the food. Flavors do differ, so try a few types.
This treat has no appreciable scent. Maybe that's why all 4 of my cats turn their noses up at it. Most of the pieces are also very hard. I broke them up, but was still thinking the cats could break their teeth on them. Will stick to other freeze-dried products.
