Description

Make walking your dog fun and enjoyable again for both of you with the Walk ‘n Train Dog Head Halter. The unique design of this halter fits like a collar, but works like a no-pull head halter by guiding the head–and where the head goes, the body follows. When your dog pulls, she receives gentle pressure on her snout to correct the unwanted behavior and then receives an immediate reward as the collar releases its pressure once she stops pulling. The halter is made of quick-drying polyester webbing with a heavy-duty quick-release snap; the included safety loop attaches to her regular collar so you still maintain control if she slips out of the head halter. The nose band is padded for extra comfort and the side straps allow her to still pant and drink water while wearing the halter.

  • So Glad I Tried It!

    By on

My 9 month old male Great Dane puppy was getting so strong and large that he was starting to go where ever he wanted when we were out in public like up to people and other dogs he wanted to greet while using a prong collar and obedince training. Even though he is very friendly he is so large and would get very excited to see everyone, many people are afraid of dogs especially very large ones! I was very sad to think I might have to stop taking him out for walks in public places and wondered what I was going to do when I needed to take him to the vet. I researched head collars and decided to give this one a try and I'm just so pleased and happy with the results! • Behavior problems started with this collar

    By on

While this sytle collars does contol a big Malamute, he hates it and now has developed the extreme behavior issue of avoiding having it be put on his muzzle. Ceaser Millan's collar works much better emotionally and our Malamute doesn't try to get it off.

  • Runs small

    By on

I measured and ordered the one that should fit but it was very tight, I didn't want to complain (as Chewey.com has been so good to me) so I removed some of the hardware and now it just barely fits so I'm good. Makes walks much easier now that I'm in control of his head and no more tugging, Yay!

  • GREAT and EASY to Use

    By on

I have had giant schnauzer's for over 20 yrs, and have always used a pinch collar for which my 'kids' got the idea of what I wanted them to do but because of their power, mass, and strength, could still do what they wanted. This does the trick!

  • Good but puppy has to get used to it

    By on

My dog had a hard time getting used to this, what I did was I would put it on him then start immediately playing with him and each time left it on a little longer after the play session and now he even helps me get it on to him. Great for pullers just make sure it is measured and fitted correctly

  • Great product

I really like this product, but the sizing was off. I ordered an xl based on the sizing chart and it was too big. I did reorder a size L and it fits great.

  • Great product. Awesome price.

The Walk 'n Train is very well made and much more comfortable than some of the other head halters I've used (at least according to golden retriever River). It was very easy to acclimate the dog to. And it is much more difficult for the dog to paw off, even when adjusted a little loosely. I ditched the safety hook as I always use a double-hook leash setup when using a head halter. One end of the leash hooks to the head halter. The other end hooks to the dog's flat or martingale collar. That makes it much easier to wean the dog off of the head collar later and it is the absolute safest way to make sure the dog doesn't slip free.

  • Big, my dog doesn't like it

    By on

My dog doesn't like it on him. I try to walk him with it and all he does is focus on trying to get it off. I've tried to walk him and he does follow but I think it's mean to put him through that.

  • Sturdy halter that works

    By on

Reinforced, easy to use. Dog hardly reacted to this type. Have tried 2 other kinds, but found this one to work the BEST. Work with lots of large dogs and foster dogs, this is a great training tool.

  • works well

    By on

This is much nicer quality than other similar head halters. The nose band is well padded and the cheek straps help keep it in place. Definitely gives you much more control over your dog. Does run a tiny bit big, but I was able to adjust it down. My dog still pulls, but I now keep my arm attached! I can hold my 80 lb pit with one finger.
