How to Measure: To determine correct carpal splint size, measure from the top of paw at the point located on the backside of the leg to the midpoint between carpal joint and elbow. The Walkin' Carpal Splint will support the wrist or carpus only and does not extend under the foot or paw of the animal. If full lower limb bracing is needed, please see the [HandicappedPets Front Leg Dog & Cat Splint][]

I'm worried that this will slide down my dogs leg. I purchased a soft brace with Velcro and after a short time they were sliding. Have you heard anyone mention this? Also afraid to pull to tight so cut of circulation. Any Advise?
Answer by • Mar 26, 2019
Each Velcro tab should be buckled to create a snug fit so splint shouldn't slide, or move.
My dog suffered an accident. He has no active range of motion of the carpal joint. My thought is to stabilize the joint so he can walk on the front leg. Is this device meant for this type of injury?
Answer by • Apr 01, 2019
This splint provides support, stabilization, and immobilization for your pal’s wrist joint. It's recommended to use to heal sprains and fractures, after surgery and during physical therapy.
Will my dog be able to go up and down steps with this on? That is when she has the most issues.
Answer by • Apr 01, 2019
A dog should be able to go up and down stairs with the splint on but the range of motion may be less, so they should be supervised the first few times until they get used to wearing it.
How many hours a day can this be left on?
Answer by • Aug 04, 2020
Once the pet is able to comfortably wear the splint for 4 hours or more in the day, and no areas of rubbing or irritation are present, it’s all right to increase wear time to almost a full day, if needed. If you are unsure how long the splint should be worn based on your dog’s medical condition, it’s always best to consult with your veterinarian.
I ordered this for my German Shepherd. It didn't work for her for what I needed, but it is a very good and well made product.

It took worked
Dog front paw was bending in. Needed some to stablize. This was just the thing. After a few days, dog was able to walk on it.

wrist brace
its perfect for supporting his weak joint. they had to remove his hardware that made his leg nice and solid. so now he needs extra support till new bone growth is sufficient to support him. till then this brace does a good job

Wouldn't fit most dogs legs
Too small for my dogs leg. Her leg is larger than the diameter of the splint . It wouldn't fit on most dogs legs

I need to send this back and try another size or style. could not get Splint to stay up enough to keep it from hitting floor when she walks.

appears to be made well
Product looks sound in design; however, extra small was too big for my min pin.

Too small for our use, reordered XL
These looked great upon arrival but the size was too small (german shepherd with low pasterns). His "ankles" are pretty thick from years of damage so might have fit better if his condition was not so deteriorated. We returned and ordered the XL with no real expectation that they will fit either considering his poor condition. Worth a try tho. Havent received refund yet, but have had prior good experience here and do expect to receive it.

Not what it says on sizes
I bought this for my 90 lb German Shepherd I measured for the size and went up one. It did not support her legs and it kept rising up. It was so bad that it rubbed one of her legs raw. Don’t waste your money. I am still waiting for them to send me a return label so I can return them. It’s been two weeks and still nothing.

XL was too small
5 star rating for quality but the size chart is misleading.
110 lbs Golden/Pyrenees mix. I used the measuring guide and even ordered up one size to XL based on some other reviews. Still too small. I will say the quality of the product is great. I really wish it fit. I called Chewy and they are processing my refund.
