My Husky has severe arthritis in one of her hips. Pretty much every time she runs or plays, she ends up limping back into the house. This brace really helps her mobility! It’s expensive, but it helps. I pair it with a K9 Tactical Gear harness instead of the one that comes with it— it has one ring on the back and one between the shoulders, so the brace can be connected while also using a leash on the other ring.
I posted chewy's photo 1st because of how well it shows the product. It is a little work to get it on properly, however it is doable, and the results are immediate. Roxy was able to walk with her hind legs much straighter.
I have a 85lb pit/lab/boxer mix. The large harness only fits at the absolute longest of every strap, but the hip braces are way too large and do not provide any support. I asked about exchanging the hip portion onl for a medium, but we since Chewy's doesn't manufacture this item, they couldn't help. I then contacted the manufacturer, but a full business week after sending an email with photos and explanation, I haven't even gotten advice on what to do. This product does not work on dogs that do not have long hips/legs. The straps fall below my dogs knees when he sits/lays, and then the get stuck and impede his walking completely when he stands back up. I could never leave him alone while wearing this for even five minutes. Useless product unfortunately.
