Breeder cage

My chinchillas and I love this cage! They have lots of room and fits everything they need. I purchased this cage as a breeder cage for my female because it has a solid floor. Wires aren't good for chinchilla feet so I replaced the wire ramps and wire ledges with wooden ledges. I will definitely be purchasing more of these cages for my other females.

Okay but beware

I bought this for my rats,The cage its self is great the bar spacing is about 1/2inch so its okay for little rats. They have plenty of space and places to hang hammocks and acessories my main complaint about it us the corner of the tray arrived broken, and I didn't think it would effect the use and tho it doesn't ive scrapes/cut my self on it twice trying to clean it ive searched everywhere for just the tray to replace it but doesn't seem thats an option other wise would have gotten 5 stars for everything!!!

Great for the Price

This cage is a good size for a few rats, or a very spoiled hamster. I’d say chinchilla but I have no example for size comparison. The metal bottom could be a little taller to hold the bedding better, and the platforms are also not great for rats because the wire can cause bumble foot, I will be covering the surfaces with corrugated plastic. Overall, the space is great and my boy loves the ramps!

It was great at first but then I had to put the shelf on and they will not go everything gets caught when you try to connect them very disappointing

First off it’s a puzzle to put together really. The bottom pan come with a nice dent in it from shipping km sure. My chinchillas was begging me to get them out after a day. The connector platforms for the levels fall of once they jump or walk on them. Now I’m stuck with a bulky cage to try and figure out how to store.
