Hand wash with mild soap and water.
Step 1: Remove the Wire Cage Set and lay on a flat surface with the doorway facing up.
Step 2: Carefully unfold the front back and side panels.
Step 3: Lock the right and left side panels to the front and back panels by connecting the wire hooks through the wire loops.
Step 4: Turn the Wire Cage Set upright and place it on top of the Metal Tray. Lock the Wire Cage Set to the metal Tray using the side wire latches. The side wire latches attach to the Wire Cage Set on the 6th wire up from the bottom.

Place the Wire Mesh Ramps through the door and attach to each shelf so they lead from the bottom to the top of the cage. Close the door and safely secure with the locking latch behind the horizontal wire bar.

Don't recommend
By Rats on Feb 9, 2021
I purchased this for my rats and am very disappointed. The quality is lacking with the cage being very flimsy, the wires being bent right after opening and the wire on the shelves separating because they are only attractedby their paint. The latching system that holds the sides together doesn't work either with the sides sliding apart allowing enough of a gap for rats to get out.

Don't trust it ... looks just like a cage I had and animals fell from top
By SmallPetFan on Feb 8, 2021
I'm here looking for a cage that's less expensive than a brand out there that has many lower height option. I owned something comparable to this was not good. It seems great due to the size but I read about someone whose hamster fell from the top to the bottom with a "thud". I had an almost 3 year old rat do the same. I was within a couple of feet when I heard the "thud" my rat was almost 3 and I still would never do that to any pet again. My suggestion is to: 1. Get a cage that won't rust - galvanized steel with a coating that works (as mine did and I cleaned it 2x week and washed and dried it each time). 2. Don't get something this high or ensure the next level is across most of I'm here looking for a cage that's less expensive than a brand out there that has many lower height option. Don't get it if your little guy could fall and hurt itself - so think about its future health. … more

DO NOT BUY!!!!!
By Nusheen on Jan 26, 2021
At first, this cage seems like a sweet deal for the price, and I thought all the bad reviews were just a fluke. I had this cage for my chubby old dwarf hamster, and he didn't have too much of an issue with it, mainly because he was too big and lazy to attempt to escape. Sadly, he passed from age, and I got a new syrian hamster. On her first night home, she squeezed through the small holes on the side of the cage and escaped. By some miracle, I found her in my roommates room across the hall because she fell into my roommate's trash can! Shocked she wasn't injured after the fall from my 4 foot tall dresser and the 2 foot drop from my roommates bed into the trash can, but never ever using this cage At first, this cage seems like a sweet deal for the price, and I thought all the bad reviews were just a fluke. I don’t get why this has so little stars
By Kayla on Jan 24, 2021
This cage is such a great price! I’ve had this cage for about 6 months now, it’s amazing. At first I was like “eh, it’s cheap, I’ll just buy if for a starter cage for my rats” but I haven’t needed to upgrade. I use the entire bottom for litter and just unhook the top and set it aside while I dump the pan at cleaning time. The middle ramp stays but my rats were taking the bottom ramp off, I just used sandwich bag twist ties and they haven’t been able to move it. Such a great cage, esp for the price.

Do not recommend this cage
By TammyO on Jan 15, 2021
First I would like to say how happy I am with all my other orders from Chewy! However, I just ordered this cage the other day for a pet rat, and the cage is very poorly made. Lots of sharp areas where it is welded together! Has already scratched my daughter's arm and snagged clothing twice reaching in the cage. Also, the cage does not even sit even on a table! The bottom part of the cage is metal and uneven. The ramps to access the different levels do not stay in place and poor Pickles has tumbled multiple times trying to go anywhere in the cage! Also, the bottom of the cage has a very low base that causes all the bedding to fall out on the floor. Not happy with this purchase at all! Not as bad as everyone says!
By Jenni on Jan 21, 2021
Yes, the cage is cheap, yes it is not the best cage on the planet. However, it is cheap and if you have a crazy ferret then yea the levels and ladders might fall down. Simple fix, a zip tie. I only had to use one zip tie on the bottom level ladder. My Rat Teto loves this cage. It might be a little small for one rat, way to small to have 2 in. However, if your rat comes out a lot then this should be fine and very cheap for budgets. I did go over this cage with a fine tooth comb to make sure everything was fine. I did find one pice of the bar loose, I just super glued it back. Other than that its been fine for me and Teto.

pretty bad
By taylor on Jan 22, 2021
this cage was so small and poorly made. for the price it’s a good temporary cage if that’s what you need, but i would never want my animal living in here. IF you just want a temporary small cage, this is a good option, but be prepared to use zip ties to keep the levels/ramps on and double check the dimensions so you know what you’re getting.

Awful cage
By Shyla on Jan 9, 2021
This cage isn't suitable for anything. I bought it as a temporary cage while I needed to have my two rats babysat for a week, and they were constantly fighting due to lack of space. Each "level" is as big as the rat itself to just stand on without turning, and the bottom is large enough for them to turn around and take a couple steps, given that you have absolutely no toys or hides in it. Its the worst cage I have ever owned and will be purchasing a different cage down the line.

Not recommended for younger animals.
By EbonyS on Dec 30, 2020
I got this for my New Guinea pig, she’s 4 months old now, the ramps, don’t stay in place strong enough, so every time she takes a wrong step, it causes the whole ramp, to fall, which in case, causes all the ramps, and floor pieces to fall. This happens continuously throughout the day as she tries to climb it, so I’m stuck always putting them back up, but now I gave up on it, and the ramps are not in it anymore. I could’ve just bought a long normal cage for her, instead.

Small Animal Cage
By BJHH on Jan 8, 2021
This is a great cage for a small animal. The only problem is that the platforms and walkways are not secured enough and will come loose if not tied . I have tied the platforms to sides of cage and the walkways tied to the platforms. This is easy to do. The base is easily taken out to clean. I do recommend this item.
