Good cage
Good cage for my Senior rat that is dealing with many medical problems at the moment. Easy cage to build but had a little trouble closing the cage door but over all perfect and my rat love the cage!
Easy to assemble
This cage is extremely easy to assemble and clean. I think the only complaints for this model would be i wish there was a door on top and there is one row that is nearly double width of the rest of the bars so inspect size carefully before putting your small animal inside.
Great for senior rats
We purchased this for two old ratties. One currently has issues going up and down her two story home, something one story would be best. They're loving it!!! They don't have a lot of time left with us, so we chose comfort for them. This ace is suitable for no more than two rats that are either babies, or seniors. I wouldn't put anymore in here. My only issue with this cage is that the clamps on the sides do not clamp down. Rather flimsy. Also, maybe higher sides so that the rats can't throw as much bedding out?
stressful
I bought this cage for my Guinea pig to live in and it’s much smaller than the measurements say when looking at it through the chewy app. This cage is NOT suitable for a Guinea pig at all. The size of it is not only stressing my Guinea pig out but also me. She needs room to run around and popcorn in and she can only walk two steps to get her food and water.
good temp rat cage
I put my 2 little insane ratties in here till their large cage came in the mail . It’s an ok size, I can fit quite a bit of toys and such in there , you can put your little fingers in there and say hi real quick . I really like how simple it is to set up/clean. Pretty good cage for temp housing or travel, door is just frustratingly small when I gotta grab the water bottle or something real quick
Carrying cage for pet rats/quail chick cage
I used this cage to transport/home my new pet rat Blizzard while I was friending her and Laska. I also used it to house some baby quail chicks, and learned that if you have more than 2 in there you will have to clean the cage every day! The brooder hen (heater for baby chicks) I have in there takes up half the cage, so some bowls are harder to squeeze in through half the door. Also beware of escapees; the little clasps that go into the holes at the sides of the cage can be moved by critters, creating an escape. One day I came into my room and there was two baby quail on the loose, and they were calmly popping in and out of the cage. Overall It's a good transport cage for rats, and a great cage for housing a few baby quail the first couple weeks of their lives.
Good cage for rats
Pretty good cage. Bar spacing is good for rats of all sizes, I have had weanlings to adults in the 2 I bought with no issues of escaping. The rats do love to climb the bars a lot (becoming "Spidey-Rats" every chance they get)! LOL
Okay for the price
I got this cage for my 2 african soft furs and it works great for them being chew proof and perfectly gives them the minimum amount of room required. I would not recommend this for fancy mice or juvenile soft furs as they could easily fit through the bar spacing.
Don’t recommend
When I opened the package and tried to put the cage together I noticed that one side was bent and usually I wouldn’t care but it was too bent that I couldn’t put the cage together.
Perfect travel cage for my rats
I spent awhile looking for a lightweight (but durable) travel cage for my three rats. This one is perfect! Aside from travel, the rats go in here while I'm cleaning their home cage every weekend.
