    It's just ok

By Neill on May 28, 2021

It seems to be fairly sturdy, my Polish chickens haven't tipped it over yet with the legs extended. But it's awkward to fill up, tricky to flip over. If you don't get it lined up perfectly, the water leaks out. My goofy chickens like to sit on top of it, and of course poop gets in the water, so I have to change it frequently. I haven't tried to hang it yet, but I'm not sure how well the handle would hold up. I'll probably keep it till it breaks, and look for something better.

    Flimsy & Poorly Constructed

By CalmCollar on Apr 30, 2021

Don't waste your time, energy and money: I'm not sure why it is so difficult to find a sturdy, well-made poultry drinker for small flocks and here is yet another dud. In the listing I was delighted the hanger/handle featured a notch that would prevent the container from skewing sideways on the hook and also, retractable legs should one wish to make it a watering stand. Sadly the metal handle is NOT made of steel and is much too thin and cannot carry the container when full - the flimsy piece bends right out of its sockets and by the time you bend it back and refit, half the water is gone. Furthermore, the rebending caused a fracture in the center of the piece, which will lead to breakage. Furthermore, the rebending caused a fracture in the center of the piece, which will lead to breakage. And using the stand presents a similar problem: the little legs are plastic and insubstantial for this 2 gallon waterer. It might work on concrete for a time, but the legs are destined to snap in a short period of time. And forget about standing it in dirt, the way chickens scratch around it, the thing will tip over before a day has passed. The final nail in the coffin is once you get it hanging, half the water has leaked out and the rest slowly leaks out due to the poor design. Complete fail. … more

Love it! Great for my flock!

    By Lindsey75 on May 11, 2021

I don't know why this only has a one star review! It's great! Huge and gets the job done. I love that it has legs so the chickens don't kick as much stuff into it.
