Eco-friendly but not super sturdy
This litter box was priced at a premium for what it is. Prior to ordering I had read some of the reviews, but wanted to give it a chance. Once I received it all of the reviews made sense. I am unable to use this as an enclosed litter box (we use a pretty large one and a pain going in and out of it regularly) and have instead opted to use as a place for my cats to sleep in my living room. Before doing so I will mention that I have added my own metal brackets to ensure the pieces stay in place as well as nails in each of the locations that the wood connecting pieces were located. I give the rating of 2 stars because it does seem a lot more eco friendly than larger plastic ones and I appreciate that, just wish there was more of a functionality component to it as well since I did try it for a couple days as shipped, but still could easily come apart in regular use.
Love it, I would by this item again!
I absolutely love this item. It may be made of paperboard, but that is one of the reasons why I like this item so much. I got the espresso color litter box, and I cannot even tell that the box is made out of paperboard. Unless I change the litter box. Then I notice the material is a bit thinner and not as sturdy as a wooden enclosed litter box. I'm that type of person does not like to buy expensive items for my cat knowing that. It's going to get destroyed anyways. This is the perfect in between item of not too cheap and not too expensive. I even referred this item to my husband's mom, and she bought 2 and she is going to stack them on top of each other.
Easy to put together, good for multiple cats!
I bought two of these, as I foster cat's I currently have 7. The cabinets themselves have held up great! I do wish the insert(that is in the entryway to catch the cat litter) was made of different material. It hasn't held up as well(1 year in and too many cats). As the cats like to scratch on it, they begin to break it down because it is made of the more cardboard like material. Also, I want to let people know there is no lip for inside the cabinet, which makes it easier to sweep out and wipe down, that said it also makes it easy for litter to occasionally fall on the floor(when you have a dramatic/excessive litter scratching cat! LOL)! Other than that, my teen daughter put them together in the livingroom, then carried them by herself to the cats area and set them up by herself. I would highly recommend them, and would absolutely purchase them again! Thanks for a offering a great product at an affordable price!
Decent, but not worth the price
The product itself is decent, but most definitely not worth the price. (I didn't even pay full price and I got it on sale, and even then I dont think its worth spending that much on). Overall, the product will do the job for now and I love the gray color I got. The assembly was very easy, I just dont think the price (even the sale price) of this is justified for this flimsy "EZ Board".
Kitty litter box
Today I opened up my brand new kitty litter box excited to put it together for my first cat as a first time cat. Mom and I discovered that one of the bottom pieces has a significant altar/damage to it and then I looked at the box and the box has a matching hole so it looks as if a forklift or something must have hit it or I’m really not sure what happened prior to it being delivered but I’m really wondering what the process is on exchanging it for one that is not damaged. I still really love this product and I still really love chewy I just really want a product that’s not damaged. Could somebody please help me with this issue? I also am a first time chewy app user lol. Help please. With respect Janessa.

I was skeptical of this purchase when it came out of the box. It gets the job done. BUT, it is incredibly flimsy for the price and I would not but again. The doors fling open often due to faulty magnets and I have to constantly shoo keep cats off the top for fear of collapse.

If your cat is likely to have any... spray, or accidental spillage outside the litterbox, say goodbye to this box! It'll soak up smells like nobody's business, and be easily scratched up if your cats are aggressive about covering up their business. (Why my kitten tries to bury her business by pawing at the walls is a question for another time).
Cat litter box
The doors don't line up. The left side door doesn't fit right. Had scratches on the paint. Very light weight. Because it's used with recyclable products, it should be a little bit cheaper.
didn’t love this
Looked a little more orangey than the color showed. The doors are easy to open so my cats are constantly busting them open instead of using the proper opening. And it’s poorly made. You put it together with mostly adhesive. Would not buy again. I bought another one that was much cuter and sturdier for only like $25 more. So you can get something nice on here but this one is just not it.
