The color is not like the picture at all. The picture shows and vibrant dark blue. It’s a dark gray/blue at best
Well built, does not slip under the saddle at all. I use this pad with a close contact saddle and half pad on my warmblood chunker. She has a lot of issues with pads sliding around, pretty sure it’s because her back is wide and she’s got a slick coat. And the bucking and crow hopping certainly doesn’t help. On other pads I have to practically strap the thing into the saddle to keep it still and even then it ends up jamming itself under the knee roll. This one doesn’t have that issue at all, even if you don’t use the straps that attach to the D rings and cinch it will not move. I was unsure if the spine vent would actually make a difference but it did. Doesn’t keep my horse’s back any cooler since it’s covered by a fleece half pad but it practically tents itself then doesn’t slip down onto her withers. I’ve only used it on warmblood chunker (Oldenburg) but out of the 5 other people at the barn who use the same pad, 3 have TB’s, one has a Hanoverian, and I think the last one has a QH. I can only speak for the horse I ride but it seems to work on a lot of body types.
