Firstly, do up the chest closure area for a snug fit (but not too tight) for complete protection.
Adjust and do up the belly strap to secure the cost around the dog's body (not too tight). It is essential that your dog's coat fits comfortably so they are able to still move freely and will be less likely to try and remove their coat.
How to Care
Remove excess dirt, mud, and hair from the coat.
Place the coat in a mesh wash bag to contain all the straps and buckles, protecting them from being damaged and protecting your machine.
Machine wash the coat on gentle delicate cycle (front loading washer) using mild soap or a reputable and recommended coat cleaning wash.
Do not use detergents or fabric conditioners as you risk compromising your WeatherBeeta's unique waterproof and breathable coating (on select coats).
For best results, re-proof your outdoor coat to add durable water repellency and revitalise breathability. Use a reputable and recommended coat proofer (always follow the manufacturer's proofing instructions).
Line dry your WeatherBeeta coat - do not tumble dry.
For the best fit, match the below dimensions to your pet's measurements as closely as possible. If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two.
I bought two 420D windbreakers in 2011, they've finally, officially, bit the dust.
Thankfully Chewy carries it, and they had them on sale, so I knew it was my chance.
They're rain resistant (they have a hole at the wither for harness to leash attachment).
They have a nice warm fleece lining.
One of my favorite parts, is that they cover the chest and strap down at the last ribs, keeping the chest warm and making easy to put on and take off.
The chest strap makes it easily fit my deep chested dog who is hard to fit. It also makes the strap flush with the chest so the male dogs don't urinate on the strap.
These are my favorite dog jackets so far and I'm really glad Chewy carries them.
Gibbs, Aussie loves it!
on Jan 30, 2019
Our Australian shepherd measured 29inches so ordered a 30 inch, fit perfect, goes on so easy, not bulky, not to heavy, stayed in place since it goes around his front legs and just Velcro's, did not keep Gibbs from moving and romping around freely and going to the bathroom with ease, this is his first raingear and he came in house totally dry only had to have his paws and top of head dried off which was really nice for us, his owners, lol, would definitely recommend, love it!
Fits perfect on my 85lbs Lab
on Feb 4, 2019
As described in the video and pictures, I took measurements of my dog and ordered size 24 for my Labrador. It fits perfectly and also has a small hole (well thought sir!) at the top for so that you can put leash incase you are using harness.
It also has fleece inside to keep the dogs warm.
So if you frequently go on hikes which involves rain/wet conditions or are just looking for a good warm rain jacket for your dog, would highly recommend it.

Great fitting dog coat, stays in place on my very active dogs. They could have improvement on the leash opening, but considering many people have a harness instead of a simple collar, the leash opening accommodates both, unfortunately in heavy rainfall, there could be significant leaking through this hole with a leash going through it.
Since I don't walk my dogs in rainy weather, I have no complaints about the leash opening.

I purchased a size 20" for my 37 lb. pointer mix. She is long and thin, and at first I purchased a bigger size, as her back is about 23" long. It was quite large on her, especially around the neck. But Chewy has excellent customer service, and they helped me get the size I needed with absolutely no hassle! I like this coat because it fits more like a horse blanket, covering my dog well all around. I also like that it goes under the front legs and provides some coverage to the belly, as my dog has very thin fur. It also has room and is very adjustable so that I can easily add another layer underneath for especially cold days. Waterproof and easy to wipe clean too! My dogs work with me outside everyday and needed a little extra on the below zero days. They are very water proof and cozy. They fit each of my dogs well. They are all labs but very different shapes.
The chest is a bit low so it pulls back.
The Sherpa lining is also on the belly so it picks up snow (easy to clean of before going in the house).
Excellent winter coat

Excellent coverage and warmth for snow. Protects the dog underside and neck from getting icicles. I ordered a size 28 for my 70lb golden doodle. The length was perfect but the girth is a little big, although he is wore it today for the first snowfall of the season in NYC and I have no complaints. Would absolutely fit a full bodied dog such as a golden retriever or larger with no problem.
Best dog coat I’ve bought - exceeded expectations

This coat provides the best coverage of any I’ve ever had - even for an odd shaped dog like my English bulldog. Covers his massive chest and his sides, but still has good clearance to do his business. Arrived just in time for major snow and cold and worked great. And he looks very handsome in it, no matter what the French Bulldog next door says.
Older version better

Fine coat, but 15 year old dog not use to coats does not like her head stuck through it. Old version for other dog just lays on back then velcro strap her in which 15 year old accepts a lot better with sweater coat I got her that works this way-draw back is its not water proof like these are.
Fits well and dog likes it

I got the 24” for my 50lb dog, I thought it would be too big but it actually fits her pretty well. The coat looks big on because it’s not as “form fitting” as a regular dog sweater. My parents got the 22” for their 85lb dog and it fits their dog fine, just comes to about the base of his tail. Sizing I’d say depends on how much of your dog you want it to cover, but for a 50lb Staffordshire terrier could probably wear a 20”-24” comfortably.
