This dog food is a life savior for my Pitbull! His skin allergies were becoming worse to the point he was losing fur from itching and licking like crazy! Really bad hot spots as well. I decided to switch his food to this about 2 months ago and have noticed a huge difference! His fur has grown back and no more itching and licking! Hotspots also went away. I highly recommend this food for doggos with skin issues and sensitive stomachs.
Our two dogs, an almost 14yr old Black Lab and a 17 lb rescue Terrier usually eat Wellness Core with rabbit, duck and wild boar. We have tried rotating with this fish based one but their tummies do not like it straight. The coat on our Lab was becoming dull so it occurred to us that we might try just mixing in a little of this fish based kibble, rather than straight. It definitely seems to be working. We keep a small container of kibble on the kitchen counter which lasts about a week. To it we have been adding 4 handfuls of the fish kibble. Her coat seems to be getting the shine back.
Chloe has been on chicken Royal Canin gastro. diet. .... and has been itching... little did I know RC uses chicken byproducts and it was vet recommended - After researching the quality and varied healthy dog food products, I chose Wellness... and have switched to the fish product. Chloe is itch free. Highly recommend!!!
Our rescue came to us eating dry Science Diet (puppy formula). He was already 6-8 months old, so he should have been on adult formula by then. Turns out his foster mom had been over feeding the puppy formula as well, which made him kinda chunky. We did the slow transition to this food and within 2 months, his coat became super healthy and shiny, his dry crusty nose is now smooth and wet, his stools have firmed up (with additional help), and he now has that “tuck” in his waist that indicates a healthy weight. The smell is quite fishy and he’s not a picky eater, but I can definitely see that he’s much more enthusiastic about this food than the Science Diet food he was eating before. We’re 3+ months in and just running low enough to repurchase a 30lb bag. Will continue to buy as long as he continues to enjoy it!
Two of my dogs had terrible skin allergies before I switched to Wellness. We used oral and topical medications, but we haven’t had to in awhile. They have soft silky coats and no more rashes or constant itching !!
Unfortunately my dog did not care for this food. He had some digestive issues after eating that may or may not been due to this brand
The last bag I got from chewy was awful my dog will not eat it! It had a yellowing color to the chow. I have no clue what is wrong with it
Great product. My dog had allergy issues and this food helped by having quality ingredients
My dog would not eat it. He loved the new pumpkin treats which I need to order more but not food
Our two litter mates are gobbling this up. They are 11-1/2 and still healthy and active but have allergies to chicken. This is good.
