    Second choice

By Stella on Aug 29, 2020

I bought this because the cat food I usually get is out of stock. I didn't want to run out and this is this the second time this happened. I thought I'd try something new while I still had some of the brand my cat usually eats in case she didn't eat it. She does like it but the shape is different. I thought I'd try something new while I still had some of the brand my cat usually eats in case she didn't eat it. She does like it but the shape is different. The brand she usually eats is flater and oval shaped. These are small round pellets and they fall out of her mouth and end up on the floor or she swallows them whole. disappointed

i have two cats, and neither of them were happy to eat it; however, when given no alternative, they did eat. additionally, this food caused both of my cats to break out in chin acne (one worse than the other). the first ingredient is chicken, the second is pea protein. although it is a high protein food, cats are obligate carnivores. they do not need vegetable protein. furthermore, pea protein contains phytoestrogens which can affect digestion and hormone balance (explains the acne).

    Not for picky eaters

It's a great high quality food. I was told to get it for my hedgehogs, they covered it up with a toy and none of the 4 cats will eat it either. They ate the wellness kitten but not the adult.

I bought this since I was trying to change my cats diet to grain free while adding wet food too. They have not taken to this food and won't eat it. I researched different foods and the Wellness brand is a good one. My cats are eating their wet food products but won't eat the dry.
