My cat LOVES this
By Lisa on Jan 18, 2021
I have recently been trying to switch my beautiful girl to more and better quality wet food. After many false starts, including super expensive human grade food through mail order subscription and freeze-dried, I tried the Wellness Chicken Pate. It ranked highly and my girl and I couldn't be happier. The pate looks and smells like real chicken and she goes nuts for it. It's nice and moist without being soupy. Every cat is different so I can only speak to my experience as far as taste, but I have one happy cat.

My 3 cats hated this!
By Babs on Dec 29, 2020
I don't understand why but all three of my cats absolutely hate this particular flavor/can of food. I have one that won't even go near it, one that will take a couple of nibbles and walk away and the last will eat it but only a few bites at a time. It's really weird because they will eat just about anything as a one-off, even the occasional can of nine lives because it's not something they have often but they won't eat it with relish. They're doing the same thing with this and I find it weird considering this is supposed to be significantly better. I bought four cases of this and am now putting it in the same Bowl as one of their other foods and it's weird to see them eat around it.

Lots of tiny, sharp chicken bone fragments
By CCWrangler on Dec 26, 2020
This and a few other varieties of Wellness canned cat food have recently contained lots of sharp little pieces of bone. One was more than 1/2 inch long, looked like a tiny white needle, and was spat out next to her food bowl by my disgusted cat. I believe these bone fragments to present a health risk to cats. They aren't found in any other other "premium" brands of canned cat food that I've tried over the years. I mentioned this issue to Wellness customer service on the phone, and got the impression that the company considers chicken bone fragments to be a normal component of cat food. Based on that conversation, I'm not hopeful that the company will remedy this situation any time soon. Smells like real food - and my cat loves it.
By Janice on Jan 17, 2021
We are switching over to Wellness wet food from Friskies, etc and our cat just loves it. This is the first wet food I've encountered that actually smells edible, that smells like real meat/poultry. I appreciate that I can purchase the larger 12-oz cans in packs, which makes this more cost-effective, but I wish the case quantities came in flavor varieties to mix it up a bit.

Food For the Finicky Cat
By Lmck on Jan 12, 2021
I have three large cats who all eat a variety of dry food. I believe in giving them options and not the same thing every day. However, I tried that with can food as well, but they only want this food! All three agree this is the only wet food that they will eat. I chose this food because of its ingredients and it is one of the healthier on the market.

Cost-effective, healthy cat food if your cat will eat it.
By Sunny on Dec 5, 2020
This is a great option for owners who feed an all-wet diet (I'm about a month into this, and it's not cheap). I like the ingredients and overall quality of Wellness. It's also calorie-dense, so you don't have to feed as much food to meet your cat's daily caloric needs. This recipe is pretty clean and doesn't include fish, much to my cat's dismay. I think that if your cat loves this recipe, it's a great one to have! But my cat seems to be very "meh" about this, especially after a day or so of it in the fridge. I combine it with a spoonful of a tuna recipe from another brand, and he'll gobble it all right up, but alone, he'll eat about half and leave.

Great cat food, kitties love it!
By sell on Jan 15, 2021
I bought a case of this for our senior cat that is now diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. I wanted a cat food that was gran free and low in salt. My kitty loves it. I crush up his pill and give it to him twice a day.

Plenty expensive, but the cats LOVE IT. DOESNT REEK OF DEATH LIKE OTHER CATFOOD.
By Catman on Dec 9, 2020
The cats LITERALLY lick the bowl clean when fed this stuff. Never seen them fisnish all the wet food gave them before. If was half the price it is per case would buy frequently, cause the cats love it, it's amazing quality food, that smells decent to humans.

Good product....just picky cats
By Dave on Dec 6, 2020
Decided to try this out since it was on sale and my cats have been less picky lately with their food....til now. Seems like a good product, but the kitties looked at me like I was trying to starve them when I fed it to them for the first time. How ungrateful of them.

Meets picky cat criteria!
By Fostermom on Oct 4, 2020
I discovered wellness when I was looking for high quality kitten food for a foster mama/litter. They really seemed to do well with it so I bought a case of the chicken entree adult food for my two older and slightly picky resident cats. One of them is a dry food junkie and is very particular about what what foods she will actually eat. I can split a 5.5 oz can between the two and their bowls will be licked clean. This flavor seems to be the favorite between the two I tried. They also like the Chicken and Herring but that doesn't always end with bowls licked clean. I also like that this comes in large cans.
