    I foster cats and kittens. A LOT of cats and kittens. Seems like no matter what I get there’s always someone who won’t eat it. Everyone likes this food. Everyone! And the large can size is fantastic when you have 22 kittens to feed. I highly recommend this food.

    Extremely High In Fat

    Good ingredients, good price, and my cats love it, but beware, all flavors of Wellness Complete Pate are VERY high in fat! I started feeding this to my cats but continued my wet-food research including calculating nutrients levels and percentages. The more math I did, the more disappointed I became Good ingredients, good price, and my cats love it, but beware, all flavors of Wellness Complete Pate are VERY high in fat! I started feeding this to my cats but continued my wet-food research including calculating nutrients levels and percentages. The more math I did, the more disappointed I became. Yes, there's conflicting nutrition recommendations out there, but I didn't find a source or veterinary nutritionist that recommended this level of fat. I calculated nutrients in 10-12 products and Wellness products are generally fatty, but Complete Pate is the worst. Ask a nutritionist about the numbers, but in my opinion it doesn't see reasonable. Chicken and Herring is the lowest fat formula with 55% of the calories from fat, but the other flavors are around 65%. Current recommendations for calories from fat is 20-45%. Studies show cats handle fat levels over 50% pretty well; however, this cheats them out of protein and other nutrients. I wasn't even able achieve appropriate fat levels when I split the diet 50/50 with another brand. Back to the drawing board... … more
