Transition Instructions

The best way to transition your cat onto a new food is to gradually introduce the new food by mixing it with the old grub. Mixing the two—and increasing the new food gradually—will allow your kitty's taste and tummy to acclimate to the new recipe.

Semi-feral cat seems to prefer this brand and flavor

By TUAZ on Jan 14, 2021

I have a semi-feral cat who is fed wet food twice per day. Because she loves the Wellnes salmon-flavored treats, I decided to try this brand of dry food in the salmon flavor. She prefers it to other brands and flavors. She eats it when her wet food is gone. It has good ingredients. I took a star off, because she doesn't like it as much as the treats. Maybe that's unfair because the treats are just that - treats.

My usually glutinous--very non picky eaters HATE it and leave for Possums

By TuxedoMama on Apr 30, 2019

Solid packaging, and it looks good, but my cats just don't care for it. They will eat it if they are really really hungry, but instead cry for canned. Maybe they just got spoiled by the American Journey cat food, which we tried when it was buy one get one--they LOVED that stuff in every variety. Now its very expensive.

    Not palatable

By Christianpoet on Mar 21, 2019

I was initially impressed as all I smelled as I opened the bag was fish, my cat's favorite. However, even though I mixed it in small portion initially to introduce it, I made a small pile of it separate from cat chow that I normally feed. I even put it in the bowl of the pregnant rescue in my bathroom. I've tried 3 different "better" foods for my cats, with good intentions, but I'm sticking with cat chow. My cats don't touch it. It saddens me because I truly want them to have the best - but if they don't eat it, what's the point?

best cat food I have found

    By jukajo63 on Mar 28, 2019

I love the Wellness line. It lasts much longer than other food because it take less to make my cats full and it makes the litter box much more pleasant since it has so few fillers in it. I have also found it makes my cat fountain easier to clean because other foods give my cats over salivation which causes a lot more gunk to build up in the fountain sooner.

    Reccomened by my vet

    By Mom3catz on Mar 27, 2019

Very sad, kittie is sick, diabetes, big weight loss, down to 8 lbs. Ate one bowl the night it got delivered then wouldn't touch it. Tried other two kitties, they also turned up their noses and refused to touch it. I think my mistake was Salmom/Salmom flavor, smells awful. So disappointed, I wanted them all to have good food and home delivery, wow what a plus.

    5 paws down

By Lest on Mar 10, 2019

I have 5 cats, ranging in ages from 6 months to 15 years. Not even one of them would eat this food. They hated it. I scolded them for being so picky, & thought they'd eat it when they got good and hungry. Day 3: I had to donate the food to a shelter, and go get some food from grocery store for my starving kitties. This has never happened before!

    Seems to like it

By Julie on Jan 17, 2019

My cat really loved the Wellness treats I got him for Holidays(turkey and cranberry). So I thought he would love the dry food, too. Well, he is ok with it. Not really in love or anything like that. I wanted to get a better quality food for him because his poo was quite smelly and I was concerned he might have a malabsorption problem. These issues seemed to have improved...so I am happy with this food anyway. He does eat it.

    By SamP25 on Apr 10, 2019

2 of my cats love this food but 2 of them are being very picky. They aren’t that picky so i don’t know why they don’t like this food.
