Transition Instructions

The best way to transition your cat onto a new food is to gradually introduce the new food by mixing it with the old grub. Mixing the two—and increasing the new food gradually—will allow your kitty's taste and tummy to acclimate to the new recipe.

As much as I love the Wellness brand

    By on

Thought I’d give this a try since it was on sale. I’m sure it’s good for others but I’m bummed that All of my four guys won’t touch this senior style. The other senior style they gobble right up.

    Cat refused to eat it

    By on

I had high hopes for this food because it came highly recommended from a friend and seems to be a healthy option, sadly my 10 year old girl refused to eat it. If you are wanting to try this food I would suggest first buying the smallest quantity or go in with another cat parent and split the bag to see if your cats will eat it since it is kinda pricey.

    Best Product

    By on

After placing my baby on this Human Grade product there was a remarkable difference in his coat and overall well being. He is 15 years old and acts like a youngster, running up and down the hall when I come home and playing with his stuffed mice. This product contains the ingredients a cat would eat in the wild plus vitamins for eyes and bones. I serve him a 1/4 cup in the morning and a 1/2 can of Wellness wet food (chicken) for dinner. Don't forget to always have a full bowl of clean water!

    Senior Cats LOVES This Food

    By on

I have a very picky senior cat and he loves this food. It took a few days for him to warm up to it but we slowly transitioned over to this food and now he can't get enough. It's especially good for his older teeth/gums because the food is so tiny.

    Cat didn't like taste

    By on

My cat is a 13yr old male. I bought this food because it is made for senior cats and also said it helped maintain good urinary tract health. Unfortunately, as good a food as it may be, my cat absolutely refused to eat it. He is not normally fussy but really disliked this food.

    Discerning Senior Cat

    By on

Since my cat does so well with Wellness canned food, I tried the dry senior health one. She won't even touch it. In 15 years, she has always tried or eaten some of the food given to her. But not this. So, no, I wouldn't recommend it or buy it again. Maybe your cat would like it. Wish I could give it away.

Good idea of a less fattening meal but .... my cats won’t eat it. Will have to try something else.

My cats would rather starve than eat this food

    By on

My cats both reacted to this food as if I had just given them a bowl of chopped up cardboard. I even poured a bunch of salmon oil on it to no avail. They flat out refuse to eat it and they are not picky eaters. This has never happened before. Now I have no idea what to do with this bag of useless cat food. Should I compost it? Or would the plants reject it too?

    Senior cat loves

    By on

My senior cat has been eating this food since 2012. Took him some time to get used to it but now it's all he will eat. He's a happy healthy cat.

    Healthy and flavorful

    By on

I have 2 senior cats. 2 &19, years old . I leave this out all the time, and also give them canned food twice a day. I have always been very careful about their diet and health. They probably eat healthier than I do!
