Feeding Instructions

To feed alone: 1 can per day for each 6 – 8 lbs of body weight.

To feed with dry: Reduce dry by 1/4 cup for every 1/2 can wet.

Refrigerate unused portion.

Transition Instructions

The best way to transition your pet onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet (starting by mixing 90% old with 10% new and increase new by 10% each day until the bowl is full of only Wellness). Mixing the food will allow your pet to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food.

When food transition is not an option, there are a few ways to ensure a good transition:

Feed multiple, smaller volume meals. This will decrease the likelihood of over-consumption and provide for a more consistent, firm stool. Add clean warm water to the food to help soften it. Add a digestive aid such a boiled brown rice or sugar-free canned pumpkin.

I originally bought Wellness Core 95 because my two feral born youngsters are overweight and I decided a grain free diet was my best bet in bringing their weight down. After a lot of research and reviews I decided to try three brands that fit my requirements. The Core 95 won the taste test hands down, even my finicky 10yr old gobbles his meals up! As a bonus they’re litter box’s don’t stink up the house anymore either! I do add a tsp. of salmon oil and organic pumpkin to their meals for hairball control and to assure regular healthy bowel movements. Good quality cat food is not inexpensive, however, Chewy,s subscribe and save will save me about $300 a year compared to the pet stores and it I originally bought Wellness Core 95 because my two feral born youngsters are overweight and I decided a grain free diet was my best bet in bringing their weight down. • My Outdoor Kitties Love It!

    By on

My skinny outdoor cats have never put on weight until they started on this Wellness Core 95, despite trying multiple other (incl expensive) cat foods. The high protein and fat have made their fur soft and thicker and their eyes brighter, besides adding much needed weight. Thank you!

  • Cats don't like it

    By on

I have multiple cats and they all turn their noses up at the 3 different flavors of Core I purchased. What a waste of money!

  • Don't bother

I have a cloudier of seven. None of them liked it. Will be donating the cans to a rescue shelter. The kitties there probably won't like it either.
