Feeding Instructions

To feed alone: 1 can per day for each 6 – 8 lbs of body weight.

To feed with dry: Reduce dry by 1/4 cup for every 1/2 can wet.

Refrigerate unused portion.

Transition Instructions

The best way to transition your pet onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet (starting by mixing 90% old with 10% new and increase new by 10% each day until the bowl is full of only Wellness). Mixing the food will allow your pet to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food.

When food transition is not an option, there are a few ways to ensure a good transition:

Feed multiple, smaller volume meals. This will decrease the likelihood of over-consumption and provide for a more consistent, firm stool. Add clean warm water to the food to help soften it. Add a digestive aid such a boiled brown rice or sugar-free canned pumpkin.

    Picky Cat Loves This!

    By on

We have two cats, Freyja and Loki. Freyja will eat any food you put in front of her with gusto, but she has some stomach issues and certain foods give her diarrhea. Loki’s tummy can handle any cat food you give him and more, but he is very picky. This is his favorite food and the only one he gets excited about that isn’t fresh-cooked meat. Freyja’s tummy can handle this so we don’t worry if she eats a few bites of Loki’s food (he always tries to leave some for his sister because he doesn’t understand she’s on a special diet and he loves her). Both Loki and Freyja would strongly recommend this food!

    Special diet for special kitty

    By on

My little Scottish Fold Furgus had a bladder stone and the vet said it was because of vegetable matter in his food. So many foods are grain free but not vegetable free. This is one of the few that is so I purchased the beef/chicken and he loves it, and I love knowing it's good for him and won't cause him problems. After spending a lot of $$ for a surgery to remove the stones I don't want them coming back and I know this food is good for him.

    My cats won't eat this

    By on

I have been feeding my cats exclusively the Wellness Core 95 canned cat food for just about a year and for some reason they will not eat this one. I end up throwing it away when I wash their bowls. I'm planning on donating the remainder so hopefully someone's cat will enjoy this, it's such a waste to just throw it away. I have a very picky 15 yr old cat and I tried the Wellness brand to get him to eat. I also have a 10 yr old cat who will eat pretty much everything and even she won't eat this. They do eat the other Wellness "chicken" canned foods so I'm going to stick with them.

    Good quality product

I like the ingredients and the fact this is low carb. However, it's taking time for the cats to adjust to this, so I am currently mixing it with their other food and it's empty bowls every meal!

My 2 Abysidian kittens LOVE this food!

My two boys are members of the clean plate club - and each morning they except this food for breakfast. It's great to see them eat, as they are very picky eaters.

Meh one cat liked, other hated

I have 2 kitties. One likes it abd the other won’t touch it. He actually seemed mad about it which has never happened before. I tried a second meal and had the same response. He was quite put out. Other cat pretty much eats anything.

    Core 95 Wellness

    By on

My rescued cat loves this food. He was scrawny and ill before we rescued him off the streets. I started this food along with Tiki Cat and he quickly improved, his hair filled in and he put on much needed weight. He jumps around and cries for this food. Great product.

I was really excited reading about this brand but my cats weren't as excited they both refuse to eat it. I'm now stuck with 2 cases and they aren't cheap. Great food but they have to eat it. I tried.

    They Love This

    By on

I originally bought Wellness Core 95 because my two feral born youngsters are overweight and I decided a grain free diet was my best bet in bringing their weight down. After a lot of research and reviews I decided to try three brands that fit my requirements. The Core 95 won the taste test hands down, even my finicky 10yr old gobbles his meals up! As a bonus they’re litter box’s don’t stink up the house anymore either! I do add a tsp. of salmon oil and organic pumpkin to their meals for hairball control and to assure regular healthy bowel movements. Good quality cat food is not inexpensive, however, Chewy,s subscribe and save will save me about $300 a year compared to the pet stores and it I originally bought Wellness Core 95 because my two feral born youngsters are overweight and I decided a grain free diet was my best bet in bringing their weight down.
