Feeding Instructions

To feed alone, feed 1 can/day for ea 6-8 lbs of body weight. To feed with dry, reduce dry by ¼ cup for every ½ can wet. Refrigerate unused portion.

Transition Instructions

The best way to transition your pet onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet (starting by mixing 90% old with 10% new and increase new by 10% each day until the bowl is full of only Wellness). Mixing the food will allow your pet to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food.

When food transition is not an option, there are a few ways to ensure a good transition:

Feed multiple, smaller volume meals. This will decrease the likelihood of over-consumption and provide for a more consistent, firm stool. Add clean warm water to the food to help soften it. Add a digestive aid such a boiled brown rice or sugar-free canned pumpkin.

    my cats said no way

    By on

My two cats absolutely refused to eat this. I tried twice with the same result. I gave a can to a friend and her 3 cats also refused it. On a third try, I did find someone whose cats would eat it.

    Great food

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

My Chloe is loving the food and her physical condition is improving from it. She use to have a bare belly from allergies. Now it must have been from the food even though it was a quality food it wasn't good for her. she also had stomach issues. That has stopped.

Great until catitude fussiness kicked in

    By on

My cats were enjoying this food with gusto for about three cans. Then no dice. Even my youngest cat, who eats just about anything, stopped. Don’t know if some time during processing if the recipe changed or what. No enticing my cats to have them eat it again. More cans to donate to my local animal shelter.

    Very appealing to average cat

    By on

Although it says "smooth pate", it's not as smooth as the TIKI Cat VELVET Mousse. However, it has a lot of appeal to the AVERAGE cat & VERY high protein/premium cat food but my female Bengal still didn't like it. My male will eat just about anything, LOL.

    no go for us

    By on

My 4 did not want anything to do with this. Even mixed with warm water which I typically do. I had a weird jelly like consistency. I was sad, I dont often buy the expensive food, but wanted something with higher protein for my older guy. I ended up feeding it to the stray cats across the street, and even they took a min to eat. Im sure the food is good quality, just not for us

    Good quality product

    By on

I like the ingredients and the fact this is low carb. However, it's taking time for the cats to adjust to this, so I am currently mixing it with their other food and it's empty bowls every meal!

Core Chicken is excellent per Loonie

    By on

Our cat, Loonie, loves Core Chicken Pate. She always wants more. It would be easy to make her fat.
