I tried to give this to my cats, they tasted it but that’s all, one bite in the morning and a few during the day but it never gets eaten. I’ve tried 4 cans it’s not happening. I like the ingredients especially it is free of synthetic phosphates. Doesn’t have any of my forbidden ingredients. But I’m not eating it my cats are, they just don’t like it. So this food goes out to the yard critters, they will enjoy it. At least someone’s tummy will have a meal.
I got thos for my Bengal cat who cannot tolerate chicken. Not only would he not eat it, but my other cats walked away from it, too. :(
This is my picky kitty's favorite food! She loves all the CORE 95 pates, and barely eats anything chunky or flaked. She ends up spitting out all the chunks which is most of the food. But she wolfs down all the CORE 95 pates, and licks her plate.
I got a few from this line because since one of our cats developed kidney issues I want to get all of them away from high phosphorus foods to hopefully delay the others getting the same issues. This isn't low phos enough for the CKD boy but low enough for keeping the healthy cats healthy. Unfortunately everyone hates this flavor, I think because it has a strange texture, like jello. The chicken/turkey/chicken liver type from this same line has a normal pate texture however, and they like that one a lot.
I thought that I had bought 24 --5oz. cans of this food, but it turned out there were only 12 cans, no biggie. But when I saw the price, holy cow. It turns out to be $2.66 a can. Then when I opened it, it was more like a jell sort of food, are you kidding me? I'll never buy this brand again. My mistake, but geeesh you'd think that this would of looked like the best cat pate ever.
I have a 6 month tabby who will eat just about any brand or flavor of food! He even seemed to like the taste of this but it has given him such bad diarrhea, to the point that he has missed his liter box twice which has never happened before. This food seems good with such a high amount of turkey, but it’s super jelly like! I get that wet food has different additives and thickeners but this is bad and bad for his stomach! Do not recommend
Not sure how to review this.... I think this is a good quality food and just because my cat won't eat doesn't mean yours won't. I didn't really like the consistency of this food tho. It is a pate, but very solid and gel-like. I tried mixing it with hot water to see if that would loosen it up some, and it didn't really have much effect. So the left over cans will be going to my local pet food bank.
While this food seems palatable we were disappointed to see so many bone fragments throughout. For any cat who needs a lower phosphorus diet this isn't ideal. Studies have shown that higher phosphorus, such as from bone, can cause kidney issues and a cat already having chronic kidney disease certainly should avoid extra phosphorus.
Weird consistency, cat gave it a quick smell and wouldn't touch it.It may not be good but at least it's expensive.
My three cats liked it the first day I guess because it was new. Then only one cat liked it and now she doesn’t really like it very much.
