Feeding Instructions

To feed alone: 1 can per day for each 6 – 8 lbs of body weight.

To feed with dry: Reduce dry by 1/4 cup for every 1/2 can wet.

Refrigerate unused portion.

Transition Instructions

The best way to transition your pet onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet (starting by mixing 90% old with 10% new and increase new by 10% each day until the bowl is full of only Wellness). Mixing the food will allow your pet to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food.

When food transition is not an option, there are a few ways to ensure a good transition:

Feed multiple, smaller volume meals. This will decrease the likelihood of over-consumption and provide for a more consistent, firm stool. Add clean warm water to the food to help soften it. Add a digestive aid such a boiled brown rice or sugar-free canned pumpkin.

    Thank you Chewy and Wellness!!

My poor kitty recently had to undergo surgery for a rare type of bladder stone- amorphous silica. The vet ordered up a diet free of any vegetable at all. After turning down the prescription diets I searched on my own and found Wellness Core- meat, meat, meat! A bit of flaxseed which is fine..it will act as a fiber does for people. My other kitty has IBD so I've slowly been changing him over as well and they both love it! With cats being obligate carnivores I think this is the best diet for them, and my vet approved it for my little guy to prevent future bladder stones. It's a pate style but not mushy- honestly it looks good enough for me to eat- just like turkey breast that's been put through My poor kitty recently had to undergo surgery for a rare type of bladder stone- amorphous silica. They all like it

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I have four boys (two adults and two kittens). Crowley is my finicky guy. Dean the kitten seems to have a problem with chicken (good luck finding food with no chicken). The chewy website and customer people have been a great help). This is one of the foods they all like. It's not cheap but also not overpriced. I also love the ingredients. Their shedding has decreased and their costs are so silky.

    not her favorite

I feel like this is probably a great product but my cat did not care for it and it is only 12 cans to a case, not 24 like usual.

    Good quality product

I like the ingredients and the fact this is low carb. However, it's taking time for the cats to adjust to this, so I am currently mixing it with their other food and it's empty bowls every meal!

    Works for mine.

It's a 4 because I am not a fan of all the gum, and will continue to search for a similar food without it. My ragdoll has THE most sensitive stomach. Potatoes, peas, and grains give her diarrhea. It is VERY hard to find a complete wet food diet that does not contain those ingredients. This is one of those foods and her bum has been clean ever since.

    They Love It!

I originally bought Wellness Core 95 because my two feral born youngsters are overweight and I decided a grain free diet was my best bet in bringing their weight down. After a lot of research and reviews I decided to try three brands that fit my requirements. The Core 95 won the taste test hands down, even my finicky 10yr old gobbles his meals up! As a bonus they’re litter box’s don’t stink up the house anymore either! I do add a tsp. of salmon oil and organic pumpkin to their meals for hairball control and to assure regular healthy bowel movements. Good quality cat food is not inexpensive, however, Chewy,s subscribe and save will save me about $300 a year compared to the pet stores and it I originally bought Wellness Core 95 because my two feral born youngsters are overweight and I decided a grain free diet was my best bet in bringing their weight down. Has too much Gum

    By on

If you read the ingredient list you'll see the two gums pretty high up. You can really tell because the food is like a jello or mousse. Cat food should not be like this. My cats gobbled it up but I'm not satisfied as a pet parent. I won't be reordering.

    Wellness Core95

    By on

I had used Wellness for years for my cats but this is the first time that I bought Core95. I am disappointed in the texture and the cats find it to be just okay.
