Feeding Instructions

To feed alone: 1 can per day for each 6 – 8 lbs of body weight.

To feed with dry: Reduce dry by 1/4 cup for every 1/2 can wet.

Refrigerate unused portion.

Transition Instructions

The best way to transition your pet onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet (starting by mixing 90% old with 10% new and increase new by 10% each day until the bowl is full of only Wellness). Mixing the food will allow your pet to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food.

When food transition is not an option, there are a few ways to ensure a good transition:

Feed multiple, smaller volume meals. This will decrease the likelihood of over-consumption and provide for a more consistent, firm stool. Add clean warm water to the food to help soften it. Add a digestive aid such a boiled brown rice or sugar-free canned pumpkin.

  • They Love It!

    By on

I originally bought Wellness Core 95 because my two feral born youngsters are overweight and I decided a grain free diet was my best bet in bringing their weight down. After a lot of research and reviews I decided to try three brands that fit my requirements. The Core 95 won the taste test hands down, even my finicky 10yr old gobbles his meals up! As a bonus they’re litter box’s don’t stink up the house anymore either! I do add a tsp. of salmon oil and organic pumpkin to their meals for hairball control and to assure regular healthy bowel movements. Good quality cat food is not inexpensive, however, Chewy,s subscribe and save will save me about $300 a year compared to the pet stores and it I originally bought Wellness Core 95 because my two feral born youngsters are overweight and I decided a grain free diet was my best bet in bringing their weight down. • Has too much Gum

    By on

If you read the ingredient list you'll see the two gums pretty high up. You can really tell because the food is like a jello or mousse. Cat food should not be like this. My cats gobbled it up but I'm not satisfied as a pet parent. I won't be reordering.

  • great new food

    By on

My picky cat LOVED it. She only eats pates, and it's hit-or-miss what she'll actually like, but she inhaled this the first time I gave it to her and still likes it a few weeks later. Def going to try the other flavors in this line.

  • Confused cats

    By on Top 25 Contributor

This smells great, like turkey, looks clean and the texture of the pate is excellent but for some obscure reason very few will eat it. Seems my furbabies have decided to not eat turkey. They barely eat chicken mixed with turkey. I guess they decided turkey is off the rotation completely. 12 cats and 9 paws down.

  • Wellness Core95

I had used Wellness for years for my cats but this is the first time that I bought Core95. I am disappointed in the texture and the cats find it to be just okay.

  • Winner Winner Turkey Dinner!

    By on

I have four older cats and three of the four are very picky eaters. Getting them to like any new food can be a difficult process. I purchased the Turkey, Turkey & Salmon, and Chicken varieties. All four cats gobbled them up without hesitation. I have had no issues with allergies or GI upset switching them to Wellness CORE 95%. Besides the many wonderful benefits to this food (high protein content, no grains, etc) I especially like how it is without synthetic Vitamin K or Carrageenan. Well done Wellness! My little obligate carnivores give it two paws up!

  • Highley Allergic Kitty - Who Does Not Like to Eat, Likes it!

    By on

We have been battling granulomas on our poor kitty's chin, (possibly related to food allergies) for the past few months. Over the years we have come to know that she is allergic to fish, beef, soy, chicken and eggs. Add to that alfalfa meal and kelp, which are common allergens for cats and are in just about in everything. To top it off, our kitty is not food driven, so it has been tough finding things that she can eat and will eat. When I opened up the Core 95% turkey it was pretty gelatinous. Looking at it I immediately thought to myself that she is not going to go for this. But boy was I wrong! She really likes it and cleaned her plate.
