    My picky puppy

    I did lots of research on food for my Beagle/Poodle mix. I thought I had it down. I knew Beagles are prone to weight problems so I was more concerned with meeting that need. The breeder sent me home with a bag, she had no interest in it, I mixed it with I bought, still no interest. She didn’t even have I did lots of research on food for my Beagle/Poodle mix. The breeder sent me home with a bag, she had no interest in it, I mixed it with I bought, still no interest. She didn’t even have interest in treats so I was worried training would be tough. In separation, I cooked up a chicken breast. That was the magic ticket for treats. Knowing she loved that I took a chance on this kibble since chicken was the first ingredient. Voila!     Shocked to see peas, legume, potato product in the top 10 ingredients! Shame on them - for their potential harm & cheating... The Vet Community & the FDA have conducted a study/ researched since 2014, the fact that peas, legumes & potato in any form in dog foods, aside from causing DIGESTIVE ISSUES Shocked to see peas, legume, potato product in the top 10 ingredients! Shame on them - for their potential harm & cheating... The Vet Community & the FDA have conducted a study/ researched since 2014, the fact that peas, legumes & potato in any form in dog foods, aside from causing DIGESTIVE ISSUES - is DIRECTLY LINKED to the development of DCM (DILATED CARDIOMYOPATHY) in dog food! They also are a CHEAP & EASY way TO CHEAT by FALSELY increasing the protein totals when tested by the USDA who assumes protein values are entirely meat based! I just believe that people have the right to know everything that could potentially harm their dogs unknowingly! … more
