Wellness -great food
By Mindy on Jan 9, 2021
Very good canned food. Big chunks of stew like product with gravy. My dogs love it! I get all my dog food from Chewy.

Dog loves new food - and serves like a real stew
By Chance on Nov 26, 2020
My wife didn't like the much consistency of another food we've been feeding him. Tis is more of a stew consistency, and our dog loves it. He's jumping at meal time.

my tummy feels better
By Lucky on Oct 25, 2020
Tried many canned foods before deciding that this one helped the most with sensitive tummy issues. Less gas and less loose stools.

Dented cans
By Sammy on Aug 11, 2020
My dog loves the food but he loves all food. My only complaint is I have received two cases in a row with dented cans. They are always in the middle so I feel the company puts their dented cans in the middle of the packed case.

Smiles for all of us

Both my pit bull and lab/whippet love this recipe. They both quickly eat it and continue licking their bowls lest they miss any morsel.

Husky and Beagle

My two dogs refused to even taste this food. I’m surprised my beagle refused food for the first time to even try it. She usually eats anything. I don’t know what was wrong.

Primarily Turkey & White Fish - Low-Fat for Canned Food
By WondrousPups on Jul 31, 2019 top500Contributor
Thanks to other reviewers, I knew beforehand this recipe was formulated with primarily turkey, then white fish and a little bit of salmon. That's not what I expected from the picture, but it so happens that the "Hearty Cuts in gravy" line has relatively low in fat nutritional profile for canned dog food (20% fat dry matter basis as opposed to 40% for other typical canned food). My pups are all seniors. I wanted to give them wet food, but I was having a hard time finding reduced fat wet food. This seemed like a good food to try. It also happened that Wellness Core was on sale, and the company also had a good reputation for quality ingredients and good manufacturing practice. Well, if not Thanks to other reviewers, I knew beforehand this recipe was formulated with primarily turkey, then white fish and a little bit of salmon. It also happened that Wellness Core was on sale, and the company also had a good reputation for quality ingredients and good manufacturing practice. Well, if not now, when? I decided to try and see. Boy, Chewy is fast! It always amazes me just how quickly the order gets processed and arrives at the door. I was half expecting to receive many dented cans from reading many complaints posted on other canned dogs foods - Guess what? Chewy listens. Each case was packed with a double-walled cardboard lid over the top to protect the cans from damaging. I ordered three cases, and every single one arrived in perfect condition! Food quality seems to stand for the reputation. The content consists mostly sliced loaf-like meaty bits mixed with just enough gravy that coats the loaf lices - the gravy is more like a sauce, in a way. It's been only a couple of days since I started to use it on top of dry kibbles for my three pups. They weren't sure the first day, but they must have liked it. Today, they couldn't wait to get some more. I like rotating proteins and feed my pups varieties. I think I'll try other flavors, too. … more

Good, but a bit misleading
By Jenna on Jul 11, 2019
I use this as a topper for my finicky eater and it's great, she loves it, but be aware that it's not a primarily fish recipe. Next time I order, I am going to switch to another flavor and supplement with Welactin instead.

read the ingredients
By DanaD on Dec 30, 2018
We love topping out GSD's dry food with sardines, tuna or salmon which are typically in their natural form. Since this is known for being a great brand we decided to give it a try. The food didn't smell fishy like it should and when I checked the ingredients the first ingredient was turkey followed by salmon broth, not actual salmon. There is whitefish in it but it's not recognizable as fish. The texture looks like the ingredients were fused together to form a brown loaf that was sliced and resembles liver. Our GSD ate it and seemed to like it but I wouldn't purchase if you're looking for fish

My dog loves this
By Cait on Dec 14, 2018
If you're looking for a high quality canned dog food, the Wellness CORE is great. My dog loves the whitefish and salmon, and you get what you pay for with the quality. It is more expensive than others, but at least you know what your dog is getting.
