Transition Instructions

The best way to transition your pet onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet (starting by mixing 90% old with 10% new and increase new by 10% each day until the bowl is full of only Wellness). Mixing the food will allow your pet to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food.

When food transition is not an option, there are a few ways to ensure a good transition:

Feed multiple, smaller volume meals. This will decrease the likelihood of over-consumption and provide for a more consistent, firm stool. Add clean warm water to the food to help soften it. Add a digestive aid such a boiled brown rice or sugar-free canned pumpkin.

    Picky Cat LOVES this

    By on

I have a senior cat that has become so picky with her hard food. I've tried so many kinds and donated so many once used bags to the shelter down the street. She's always been a grazer then just stopped eating hard food all together. She even lost a bit of weight which got me super worried. I read about the raw bits in this and thought I would give the small bag a try. She loves it! Ate it all right up! She's put back on weight and loves the freeze dried bits the most!

Cats liked the kibble left the meat

I liked the idea of this when i read about it so I bought the $30 bag. The girls ate around the freeze dried turkey liver pieces -

    good replacement for Evo

    By on

I have been looking for a high quality, high protein replacement for the discontinued EVO dry cat food. This seems to fit the bill. While not my kitties' primary food, it makes a good snack (better than products that are labeled as "treats") and the cats really like the freeze-dried turkey liver chunks.

My cat is not impressed with this.

    By on

My cat doesn't care much for this.I thought I'd give it to him as a treat, he just turns his nose up and walks away. Have to sneak a little into his regular food or else it will go to waste.

    Core RawRev

    By on

The kitties all seem to like it which says a lot considering there are 7 of them to keep happy. Some of them pick out the little raw freeze dried pieces first but they still eat the kibble part too. Think I might have found the one to stick with.

    great product!

More than one texture! The kibble pieces are a perfect size for those that don’t chew their hard food much. Only downside was the size, so I’m using these strictly as treats so they last.

    Why 3 rating

    By on

One cat loved it - twice he ate it (mostly the raw turkey liver pieces, leaving meal mix). 3rd time I poured a bowl the only thing left was kibble. I checked the bags (over 2/3left). There was only the kibble left- not one piece of the turkey pieces My other cat turned his nose and wouldn’t try it a couple of times I put it down . He ate the turkey pieces first then a little kibble

    Kitten loves it

    By on

My new kitten loves this. Unfortunately, due to her stomach (more bowel) issues, I had to change her food completely. But, I do highly recommend this food.

    Picky fat-cat

    By on

Thanos the Cat does not like this food. I have mixed it in with his BB kibble and he will only eat those pieces! He does not like ANY freeze dried raw food what-so-ever. For being 15lbs and an outdoor stray, I'm surprised at how picky he is. I can mix in wet pate cans with some freeze dried raw that add water, and he will eat them, but not the rehydrated raw by itself. UGH! I'm sure this can work for some, but not my guy.

    Not as many freeze-dried bits.

    By on

I bought this particularly to test a dry food with freeze-dried bits and this brand was really expensive and doesn't have a lot of freeze-dried bits. My boys think it's OK. I, and my boys, particularly like the Purina Beyond brand with freeze-dried bits. They have a good 50/50 variety.
