The best way to transition your pet onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet (starting by mixing 90% old with 10% new and increase new by 10% each day until the bowl is full of only Wellness). Mixing the food will allow your pet to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food.
When food transition is not an option, there are a few ways to ensure a good transition:
Feed multiple, smaller volume meals. This will decrease the likelihood of over-consumption and provide for a more consistent, firm stool. Add clean warm water to the food to help soften it. Add a digestive aid such a boiled brown rice or sugar-free canned pumpkin.

The cats did not like it
By Catfood on Mar 29, 2021
My cats do not like the food. I put it out and they wait a while before eating it. I will not purchase this product again.

My 3 cats only like the freeze-dried turkey, but not the rest of the mix
By Food on Feb 21, 2021
My 3 cats only like the freeze-dried turkey, but not the rest of the mix. I'm pretty disappointed. I wished they liked it.

raw is good
By RIFLE on Feb 8, 2021
my kitten loves it--we give it as a treat. Latter we will try it as food on for my other cat as she does not eat any treats.

This product contains .001% freeze dried bits
By Catmomma on Oct 10, 2020
This formula is just their basic dry food formula with less than even a sprinkling of the freeze dried (aka healthy) bits. The ratio is about 1:300 for pieces of premium bits to their regular dry food formula. It should be illegal for them to charge more for this product. Their regular dried food formula is the health equivalent of feeding your cat Cheerios. A horrible weight gainer and awful for their long term health.

Good quality
By neldam on Oct 19, 2020
I know this is good food for my kittie, but she doesn't like it? I mix it into the moist canned food she usually devours, and she doesn't eat any of it.

what is this?
By yuck on Oct 15, 2020
I bought two big bags, both bags are filled with what appears to be paper stuck in the freeze dried bits...

Kitty did not like, but great nutrients.
By Maureencat0 on Jan 5, 2020
I was hoping to have my kitty change over to this. He loves the wet CORE products and still likes to eat dry as well. He turned his nose up at it. Overall I have been pleased with the quality and nutritional value of the CORE products but this one I am disappointed he will not eat.

Two paws up from my kitty!
By PatchesMama on Oct 15, 2019
We just moved and in the midst of the chaos my cat's food went MIA. I ran to the store to pick up some more Core Wellness Indoor formulas and saw this formula in a little trial sized bag. I figured it would get her by until the Chewy order came in. She is normally a wet food obsessed kitty, but she started eating this out of the storage container before I even had a chance to scoop some into her bowl! She eats a much better portion of dry food now and hopefully will put on a few pounds to fill out a little more. She loves the liver niblets as well and eats those first, but then continues to munch away. Will be ordering this formula again ASAP!
