Fed alone: for cats weighing 4-10 lbs feed 2.5 - 4.5 pouches per day. For cats weighing 11-18 lbs, feed 4.5 - 6 pouches per day. Adjust as needed.
Fed with Wellness dry: reduce dry by 1/8 cup for every 1 pouch wet. Best at room temperature. Refrigerate unused.
The best way to transition your cat onto a new food is to gradually introduce the new food by mixing it with the old grub. Mixing the two—and increasing the new food gradually—will allow your kitty's taste and tummy to acclimate to the new recipe.

Perfect for Picky Eaters
By Ashland on Jan 5, 2021
Anyone who has treated a cat with kidney failure/disease knows the up and down daily battle of getting them to eat. Prescription foods never appealed to any of mine. This Wellness in the POUCH is low in phosphorus - which cats in KCF require because their kidneys cannot process that out as efficiently anymore. Knock wood, it does keep his interest. My only wish is that it would have more juice and maybe a little less of the morsels. But I'm glad Wellness recognizes many cats over 10 years of age have some type of kidney issue so we're very happy with it.

Needs better quality control
By Harley on Dec 12, 2020
My cat has kidney disease and I have been buying this food as an alternative to her prescription food, because it's lower in phosphorus than most wet food. We've always been happy with it, but I just started a new case and something is very wrong. The food is green and congealed and stinks like rotten fish. The cat and I both gagged at the smell of it. I don't know what went wrong here, but we won't buy this again.

My kitties love this food and I love it because it's healthy food. Chewy sells it for the lowest price anywhere.

Cats love this treat
By Mwilde on Oct 25, 2020
Excellent treat for my cats. I needed a moist food for both of my cats to supplement their regular feedings. One of my cats has problems with foods containing grains etc. I split the pouch between both cats and they love it. . It contains no additives and this one contains chicken liver which I understand is really good for cats. I recommend Wellness brand cat food, the only drawback is that it is pricey. I have found that feeding Wellness has kept us out of the Vet office so I guess that’s the trade off.

Didn't like it...
By ChristyKitty on Oct 29, 2020
My 13yr old kitty didn't like it, she only would lick the gravy and leave the "morsels" and then threw up after eating this. I wasted my money on a case of this. She hasn't thrown up anything since, so I know it was her reaction to something in this food that didn't agree with her. Learned not to buy her food bought on line... It is not cost effective to return.

Tasty and Nutritious
By Craig on Jul 18, 2020
We appreciate the better quality of the ingredients and like that for the sake of healthier kidneys the phosphorus level of this food is on the lower end of the scale. Our feleuk kitty, Chewy, who can be finicky, really likes it. We're glad we discovered it.

High quality food
By CatMommy on Sep 5, 2020
My cats love the Wellness brand of cat food. High quality food without all the bad stuff you don’t want to feed your cats. Easy to open.

not for my cat
By Ludwigzelda on Jun 29, 2020
Was looking for a low phosphorous quality wet food which this is. Unfortunately my usually not finiky eater won't eat more than a mouth full before turning to give me her "you've got to be kidding..." Look.

Could not be happier!
By Dinah on May 24, 2020
I have an 18 y/o CKD cat, who has so far rejected every single prescription diet (we're still on that hunt). So I was looking for a low phosphorus wet food that we could feed her while we work out her prescription diet. This has been a HUGE hit! I have never seen her so excited for food even back in her healthy days. She never used to wake me up for breakfast, but now she is. The chunks are on the larger side, and she is missing a tooth so I have to smash the pieces down a bit so it's easier for her to eat. When you open up the package is smells like chicken, not some disgusting vague meat smell which so many other cat foods have. It's pricey, but any owner with a finicky CKD cat knows how hard I have an 18 y/o CKD cat, who has so far rejected every single prescription diet (we're still on that hunt). Yummy to tummy
By runleeny on Apr 3, 2020
..according to feline Maggie. She does not like pate, but these packets of Wellness morsels, hit the spot and provide her with a little extra moisture in her diet.
