Feeding Instructions

Serve at room temperature. Cover and refrigerate the unused portion. The amount of food your dog requires depends on age, activity level, breed and environment. Always provide access to clean, fresh water.

When fed alone to Adults: feed 3/4 - 1 1/4 cans per 15 lbs of body weight per day.

For combination feeding: reduce dry by 1/3 cup for every 1/2 can wet.

Transition Instructions

The best way to transition onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet. Mixing the food will allow the dog to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food.

  • It is Named So Well "Simple"

    By on

My pup has allergies to so many things. Had her tests taken and avoid all items on her allery list. Still had a hard time finding the right food that made her tummy not upset and made her not get fatty and bloaty. Tried Wellness Simple and Willow has flourished and is doing so very well. Been on it for 2 months and she loves it and has not had any adverse reactions or any upset tummy since which is a record breaker. It is a great feeling to see her begging for her food to be placed down for her. She inhales it and is so content. Thank you Wellness!

  • My dogs liked it

The dogs run the show at our house - we work for them. And they all gave thumbs up for this food. I wish it was a little cheaper in price and that’s reason for FOUR STARS.

  • Picky critter . . .

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

It smelled good, looked good, but my Bulldog/Pit mix wanted nothing to do with it. Her Vet said due to her allergies I should try a different source of protein for her. I'm sure it would be good for others just not my finicky critter . . . .

  • Great Limited Ingredient Option for Sensitive Tummies

    By on

The older my dog gets, the more her anxiety takes a toll on her stomach. As a result, I've transitioned her to a limited ingredient option. I supplement the Wellness options with some cooked quinoa (a high-quality grain) and organic turkey and chicken breast. As a result, her digestive issues have gone away. I am thankful to Wellness for providing these limited ingredient options, as they have helped to make things easier and better for both of us.

My dog really likes the duck recipe. He eats it with his dry dog food.

  • Might not be hypoallergenic enough

    By on

My dog has a huge laundry list of animal proteins she is either allergic or intolerant to. For a long time she was on a commercially available raw diet, but when we moved across the country and my salary dropped, I could no longer afford it. I switched her to another brand, and while it was okay, I could tell her tummy wasn't feeling great and she still had signs of intolerance. We just finished transitioning to this food and I'm not convinced she can have it yet; though duck is supposed to be hypoallergenic and good for dogs with protein issues, I don't think it's the right one for her. I'm trying it for a little while longer before I give up, though. That being said, she loves it and loves My dog has a huge laundry list of animal proteins she is either allergic or intolerant to. • Chewy for Cans

My dog already ate Wellness Simple and tolerated it well- Chewy had cans at a far lower price than I could get them locally, and I was able to take advantage of free shipping. Everybody's happy!

  • Good nutritian and great tasting dog food.

I have been using Wellness dog food for years but did not know about this choice until I saw it from Chewy.com. My dog loves the flavor and it is not only good for him, but it has limited ingredients. I will be buying this again.
