  • The picky cat eats it

    By on

I have one cat who is very particular regarding the texture of food and won't eat the typical puree style. She eats the chunks without hesitation. I wish I could get the Wellness "gravies" in this size can.

My cat likes salmon in other forms but would not touch this food. I tried it for several days. Is there any way of getting a refund for the unused cans?

  • No carageenan

I called wellness after receiving "cuts in Rich gravy" twice by chewy, when I ordered "cuts in light gravy". Chewy was EXCELLENT in their customer service. They were just as confused as I was about the mis-shipmment, but very gracious. The 1 star is for wellness- shame on them. They removed carageenan from the 'light gravy' product and took it off the market and replaced it with 'rich gravy'. My cat WILL NOT eat the "rich gravy".. his mind is set on the "light gravy"(with the carageenan). I believe they should have kept the 'light' and 'rich' gravy option for people whose cats are so used to 1 product, we all know cats are particular. • Recipe Change

I have just received my latest shipment of Wellness Grain-free, Sliced Salmon Cuts Entree in Gravy, which I've been feeding my cats for 4 years. Wellness has changed their formula! Among other changes in the recipe, there are now less fat and fewer calories per serving! This means the cat needs more of the food to get the same nourishment. Also, there is now no magnesium and there are other mineral and vitamin changes. The new can calls the gravy "rich". The old can calls it "light". I guess the increase in guar gum is what they are claiming makes the gravy "rich"? There are other differences too. So, of course, I am asking: does the new recipe contain any of these ingredients? Generally if the can doesn't specifically say these things aren't in the food, they are. The food also looks and smells different! What's going on? I'm probably going to change brands because of the look and smell. I don't trust the ingredients. I've written to the company and when I hear back, I'll decide whether or not to change. Lynn White … more

  • Outstanding quality!

I adopted a runt, hairless cat ('Lilly'), with significant health issues. Lilly has a bad upper respiratory infection, wet/bloody sneezes, SEVERE diarrhea, and VERY picky (will only eat canned food). I have taken her to several vets and we finally landed on something that's helping her -- anti-biotics, a humidifier, and wellness. We found out Lilly is allergic to chicken, turkey, and pork -- wellness is such a great quality food (i feed a mix of canned and dry to my other two cats and wellness was recommended by several vets) and this is one of the only foods that specifically make poultry-free canned foods. • My Cat LOVES this food

    By on

My 9 year old Ragdoll does love this food. The only reason I took off one star is he's thrown up twice (but not every time) after eating it. Truthfully it was on days he got a burst of energy and was running around shortly after eating. So I'm not blaming the food and I'm trying to give him smaller portions more often.
