    A COOP FAV!

By GraceandCoopsMom on Jan 15, 2021

Our big guy Cooper who has been with us 10 years this month, is going thru heart issues and high blood pressure in this last year. Although he was already a good water drinker, I wanted to make sure he STAYED hydrated. He loves his Weruva Classic Jolly Good Fares Chicken & Salmon Pate! It is very easy for him to eat and he can get a whole can in without a problem. He puts in a good facewash after he's done! I know his belly feels good when's he finished! I just had another order arrive from Chewy today!

    Ambrosia for Elderly Cat

By stephanie on Feb 1, 2021

Lilly our almost 19-year old Bombay has taken to this like butter on grits. It's good to see her hungry and enjoying her food. I feed it to her in increments (as she dictates) - usually I can get a whole can or more in her a day. I alternate this with the "Who wants to be a Meowionaire".

    Strike 3, not a hit.

By Marily on Feb 16, 2021

They liked the first 2 flavors of this extra-jellied pate: the all-chicken and the chicken and beef, but for some reason, my 4 kitties won't touch this chicken and salmon blend. Good texture though, for kitties with chewing problems, and has lots of hydration.

    Horrible sludge

    By RoniJ on Dec 31, 2020 top50Contributor

Weruva really misses the mark when it comes to pate-style foods. We’ve fed our cats their seafood varieties such as Mideast Feast and Polynesian Grill, and their shredded chicken. But every pate I’ve tried has been sent back for refund because it’s pure sludge that my cats just will not touch, and I can’t blame them. No wonder they’re often on sale. Usually the image on the can matches what’s inside, but not with their alleged pates.

    Magically disappears

    By lucyvanpelt88 on Dec 1, 2020 top250Contributor

I recently purchased this flavor for my Buttons, who is 18, and Ringo, who is 7 and diabetic. I wanted to find something that both could eat. I bought several flavors of Weruva and this one is a hit (others are too). I really like the softness of the pate. Sometimes, pates can be a bit gritty or feel as though they have little rocks in them - not this. It is smooth inside and out and in between. Buttons can eat this without any issues and Ringo can eat it without it spiking his sugar. The bowls are completely licked clean.

    a very happy, picky girl

By orangetoday on Nov 22, 2020

We finally found an actual pate without guar gum that our picky girl both eats and loves. We moved away from pates because a lot of them contain guar gum, which can potentially cause digestive upset. Granted, this contains both xantham gum and locust bean gum, but I've searched high and low for something reputable that says either is something to avoid and have found nothing. We originally gave her Fancy Feast pate as that is what my cats growing up lived on (and they all lived very long, healthy, and happy lives so I don't mean to cause unnecessary panic about guar gum) but since this is my first cat that I've actually been financially responsible for, I've gotten very into researching absolutely We finally found an actual pate without guar gum that our picky girl both eats and loves. We originally gave her Fancy Feast pate as that is what my cats growing up lived on (and they all lived very long, healthy, and happy lives so I don't mean to cause unnecessary panic about guar gum) but since this is my first cat that I've actually been financially responsible for, I've gotten very into researching absolutely everything. We switched to Instinct pates (which aren't really pates, more just blobs of meat) and it was a massive pain trying to convince her to eat it. We also tried out Tiki Cat's After Dark line, hoping that the shredded chicken and organ meat would fare better. No such luck. We had to coat everything in treats and put her bowl in different places around the apartment in hopes that it would make dinnertime more interesting and pique her interest in the food (with very little success). I knew that several Weruva products contained guar gum so I've stayed away until very recently. I finally researched this particular flavor on my favorite website, catfooddb, and discovered it is surprisingly well reviewed and the only questionable ingredient is tapioca starch. I decided to give it a shot and wow, does she love it. Breakfast and dinner are no longer a struggle, she doesn't sniff and walk away, we can finally give her treats as they are meant to be: a treat, not an everyday additive to her wet food. We're having a little less luck with the chicken and beef flavor, Meal or No Deal, but I think we'll get there. … more

    All Paws Down

    By 3xCat on Feb 2, 2021

Weruva is generally popular in this household but not this one. Three out of three say No! and walk away after the sniff test. So, that’s that on that!

    Loved by older picky eaters

    By MPChicago on Jan 10, 2021 top1000Contributor

Both my kitties love it! It has very soft easy to eat texture, not dense. My kitties prefer soft mushy texture, and they also like the taste. This is another favorite!
