This formula is designed for Adult maintenance. Feed according to the age, size, and activity of your dog. If fed alone, feed Adult dogs 1 oz for each lb of body weight, best fed twice a day. Your dog should have access to clean, fresh water.
Weruva always recommends switching your cat or dog's diet slowly and to adjust according to your pet's digestive stability. Typically, a 6 day transition suites most pet's needs. We recommend feeding a mix of 25% Weruva & 75% of the previous food for the first 2 days. For the next 2 days, feed 50% Weruva & 50% of the previous diet. Days 5 & 6, Feed 75% Weruva with 25% of the previous diet. Your pet should be fully adjusted to an exclusive high-quality Weruva diet thereafter.

Dogs in the Kitchen
By cutie on Dec 18, 2020
I have been using this product for years. The dogs love it. I only wish they would add flavors. I like to switch the flavors around so they don't get bored. Ladybug loves lamb and this can will make 2 breakfast meals for her. She is very picky and this is one of the few products she will eat. They all love this product. My only complaint, and it isn't with Chewy or Weruva, but Fed Ex or UPS is that they refuse to ring the doorbell when they deliver and in Arizona in 110 degree heat that can be the difference between usable and non-usable food. The drivers don't know how to read, I guess because it is on the shipping label.

Not exactly “Au Jus”
By BobD on Sep 11, 2019
I like getting Weruva wet dog food because I can find chicken-free and grain-free formulas. But I don’t care for sticky hash-like dog foods. I bought a 12-pack of these 10oz cans because the description “lamb & pumpkin au jus” led me to believe it would be chunks in a light gravy. Doesn’t “au jus” mean “in the juice”? Well, this is sticky hash, and I’m stuck with 12 cans of it. I use just one heaping teaspoon along with 1/3 cup dry food for each meal for my Maltese-Shih Tzu (who gobbles it up, of course), so I will be using it for many meals. It’s even hard to get the empt cans clean for recycling.

Picky dog loves!
By Reviewer on Jan 6, 2019
My German Shepherd mix was loosing too much weight due to refusing meals. I added in only one can of this in the morning (in addition to his regular night meal) and his weight is back up. He eats every bite.

15 YEAR OLD JACK RUSSELL GAINS WEIGHT!
By 3DogGuy on Jul 5, 2018
My partner and I came across this brand at an independently owned pet supply store. Toby, our 15 year old Jack, has been losing weight. He went from 20 pounds to 14. We talked to the owner and she gave us a can of to see if it would boost his appetite. We give him a table spoon full and mix it in with his dry... He's gained a pound! I know that isn't much to some but to us it is a MAJOR accomplishment! He also has a very sensitive tummy. Since Toby has been eating this, no more vomiting or other messes! Now that I see that Chewy.com carries this, it will be ordered!!!!

Our girls were not impressed
By DanaD on Apr 11, 2018
We've purchased Weruva canned food before and our girls loved it, we tried this variety because it was more cost effective. Both of our mixed breed dogs smelled it, looked at me and walked away. They're used to sharing a can of wet food daily (usually the highlight of their morning) and we like the quality of this brand, going to try another variety. It has a very fishy smell which I didn't expect

Disappointing Results
By PamH on Apr 8, 2018 Top 1000 Contributor
I had previously purchased a pouch of this food for my dogs to try and they loved it. During the purchasing process I realized it was more economical to buy in cans so I did. However, they hate it now. I believe it’s because the pouch consistency is so different from the gel consistency of the can. I may order the pouches in the future but it’s a no go for the cans.

Picky Dog Loves It

My German Shepherd is the pickiest eater. She loves this food and licks her bowl clean. I will continue buying this in the cans.

Found fish bones
By Doglover on Jan 25, 2018
I'd previously ordered the beef with salmon cans & found, to my dismay, too many tiny fish bones. However, I found a few fish bones in my Lamb & Pumpkin can, too. I am kind of hesitant feeding this brand to my dog, again or I would have to go through it very carefully. However, the texture is moist & smells so good. It's so easy to mix it with my kibbles. This product is made in Thailand.

Glad this recipe has no copper sulfate, I just can't buy anything with that kind of copper added after reading that article.
