I don't know why people would have complained, and I suspect that it was more of a decision from the owners of the company. The carrageenan was obviously the ingredient that created the aspic appearance. Regardless of the reasons, the food went downhill. The cats no longer loved it, and would only eat it if it was the only thing they were going to get. The consistency of the various labels was nonexistent. Quality control was obviously no longer in the company's lexicon. The last case of Outback Grill we received contained at least fifty percent water. I can no longer trust this food to order it again. This is obviously a problem with the supplier, Weruva, and is not Chewy's fault. But Chewy needs to let the supplier know that their product is sorely lacking in quality control. … more

    Definitely hydrating

I'm a big patron of Weruva for my cat household and I came across this new listing and decided it would be a good purchase because of the different protein. My cats do love it but I will say the content is pretty watery and that is the reason for not giving 5 stars. But overall the taste must be good so in the end that's what matters to me.

Picky cats liked but why sunflower oil? Omega 6’s

    By on

Wish it used a healthier oil or fat source. I’ve been trying a dozen or more gravy and stew type flavors and brands for my one year old cats who are picky about wet food. Texture is a big issue for them and I never know what they will like - they do hate pate though. This is one formula they deigned to eat and has healthier ingredients than others they liked like Purina pro. Will repurchase but worry about inflammatory oil in it.

Changed the food without notice? Awful! Cats hate it!

    By on

I recently got my order of Outback Grill and the food has completely changed. Used to be a pate or gravy type, now it’s chunks of fish and chunks of fat. The cats used to love it now hate it. I just wasted $40!

Used to Like This, Not Anymore

Not much to say except that my cat used to like this, but apparently not anymore. She won't even give it one little lick. And I've tried multiple times.

    Delicious!

    By on

Our Blue Russian female loves this cat food so much that she'll hardly eat anything else. If I try to give her another type of cat food, she just gives me a perturbed look like she's saying "this isn't the fishy Outback Grill cat food". She's definitely in the "clean plate club" with this cat food.
