My chihuahua/italian greyhound is an extremely picky eater, but she always takes cooked chicken. That's about all this food is, in a light gravy but with all the required nutrients. It's expensive, so I will try mixing with a premium kibble as soon as she recovers from recent dental work. Either way, I'm likely to continue purchasing this as long as she keeps eating it!
This food has literally saved my Boston’s life. She has many health problems and has to be on a restricted diet. I have tried home cooking every lean meat and fish. I have tried every prescription brand as well and she would either turn her nose up or eat once. I do have to rinse the can in a strainer b/c she cannot have a lot of fat due to pancreatic flares. I do add a little rice to help fill her up. I can’t recommend enough for a very picky dog!
My large dog loves this food. My boy has a sensitive GI tract, so he can’t have the whole can. So I add about 1/3 can to his special diet and he immediately devours his dinner (which he doesn’t do without this mixed in) and he digests it just fine. My previous dog was a big fan of Weruva chicken too!
We have a very picky pup that was once a street urchin. I hope cook for her but also use this food which she loves! When we travel this is what she receives for dinner - a whole can of it. All chicken and gravy and it is well loved!
My two dogs love this food! I was having problems with them licking their paws, and after a few days, they completely stoped. This food has natural food and real chicken. They love it too!
we were feeding a goldendoodle overcoming a medical issue trying to bring her weight back to normal. Worked. Human grade food. Looks so good I could eat it. Highly recommend, It has become a regular part of her meal plan.
My pups LOVE Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken! A little pricey, but definitely worth it. Exceptional quality!
I have a few cats and this is all their FAVORITE wet food! My only complaint (and reason for 4 stars) is that I wish this didn't contain Sunflower Seed Oil or Xantham Gum. If an oil was needed for formulation, I wish a species-appropriate oil like duck fat or beef tallow was used instead.
I've been feeding my two cats Weruva brand for years now, so when I wasn't as happy with my dog's old food, I gravitated back their way and they didn't disappoint. My dog was immediately OBSESSED with this new food and I feel comfortable knowing she's getting good healthy food.
I usually make boiled chicken for my two dogs, but we love having Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken in the pantry just in case. The Beagle laps it up and even my picky Boykin Spaniel eats it all. I put a few tablespoons over their kibble, and there are no complaints. You can tell the ingredients are sound: the food looks and smells like shredded chicken made at home.
