My foster dog chews and destroys every single toy. Sometimes when he gets to playful, he can accidentally get my hand with shorter toys. Since this extends, it really is a lifesaver and he hasn’t been to able destroy it. Love this toy!
We had this exact toy, same shape, size and color for 10 years and 7 dogs. It stood up to time, weather and lost of tug-o-war. Thought it was time to purchase a new one for our new 6 month old bully pup. In less than 5 minutes she chewed off one end. It is shocking since she too played with the older version that is far more headed to its end. Not sure if we got a reject one with the new our hose or what. I cannot even fairly rate this toy given the two extreme experiences.
Bought one for each dog. Our labrador tore hers in 8 minutes, then tore her brother's toy in 5 minutes (broke her previous record)
I wish I would have seen the review photos. After a little while of playing one of the tips fell off like all the other reviews. Luna likes the toy. I didn’t like how it broke within the hour. :( The other westpaw toys we have purchased work great. Typically this is a high quality brand
This is one of the only toys that has lasted with my tough chewer. He’s normally only allowed to have hard toys because he destroys anything else. He likes this one because its rubbery. After a couple months he was able to bite off the very tip, but that was it. I recommend it!
We have a 90lb Lab/Great Pyrenees that is a chewer. This was a new style of chew toy for her that she really seems to enjoy. It had held up well so far.
We have had multiple of these for our English Mastiffs. We have had 4 Mastiffs over 200lbs and none have been able to destroy it so far. They survived teething stages as well as playing tug. It is a toy they love and that lasts.
We have several West Paw toys and they are very durable and strong.
Our aussie who loves to play tug, loves this toy - it was instantly her new favorite. We like it because it seems like it will survive quite a while, it's flexible (which makes tug very fun), and it throws very well too making it a good fetch toy as well. We have only used it as an outside toy - not inside - so it hasn't been chewed much.
My 3-4yo pittie rescue is obsessed with this thing! It is perfect for tug and great to toss!! She loves to just chew on it as well. Our pup is an extreme chewer (we usually buy the black kong's for her) and she managed to bite a small corner of this toy with lots of persistence.
