My 1yr old frenchie LOVES these. I got them to keep him busy while I do things around the house. They definitely made him settle down but he chews through them pretty quickly and they make him a little gassy. But he definitely loves them.
I love these. First, let me say the Whimzees dental treats are made with limited ingredients and do not upset my dogs' stomachs like the Greenies do. I decided to try these occupying treats from Whimzees after trying the dental treats as I wanted something that my dogs could do quietly while company was over, or while I was away at work. The horn/hoof shape is perfect for stuffing with peanut butter or other smaller treats. I think it would be extra fun to freeze some whipped cream/peanut butter in the wide end to make it exxtra occupying. The structure of the treat is made sturdy enough that they do have to nom on it a bit before making a dent in the treat. However, the texture of the treat seems to be in a way that it crumbles away instead of splintering apart like I've seen some beef hides do. So, with that being said.. these are not the longest lasting treat, but they're fun and allow you to get creative with additional treats and hidden tid bits for your dog to find as well as they seem relatively safe. I do recommend trying the freezing method if you have highly motivated dogs like me!
I received a bag of these Whimzees' Occupy Antler Dental Chews Dog Treats for free and I was more excited to give it to my border collie mix than he was excited to try it out it seems. Generally he is very food/treat-driven, but when I handed it to him, he just looked at it quizzically and would stare at it for a minute before trying to chew it. This rarely happens with treats and I'm wondering if it's the shape or even the smell. However, once he gets over it, he is fine and is able to finish off the treat, but not without it making his gums bleed. I've given it to him several times and each time his gums bleed while he's chewing it. I would probably not buy this after using it up as it doesn't appear like my dog gets excited for it as he does for all his other treats.
I received a free sample of WHIMZEES by Wellness Occupy Antler Dental Chews Natural Grain-Free Dental Dog Treats. I have 2 dogs who went absolutely bonkers for these dental chews! My beagle would literally leap off the ground jumping impatiently to have one of these. Smell was not overbearing, not messy at all. Were not too hard or too soft. Great product. Will buy this
I recently received Whimzees Wellness Occupy Antler Dental Chews Value Bag dog treats as a sample to review. My dog I should admit is a medium size corgi that Loves to aggressively chew most toys and bones! First as a consumer I was happy that the value bag had at least 10 to 15 antlers which filled the bag to top...yay! As far as a dental chew I couldn't say he chewed it up with ease and I didn't notice his teeth any cleaner or better so I knocked 1star off for that. They did not have an offensive smell or leave behind any crumbles like many other treats do. I definitely would recommend these to many pets that Love to chew.
I received my whimzees occupy chews in antler shape as a free product. My dog loves these treats! She gots so excited when she sees them and the treats do a good job cleaner her teeth. The chews leave no mess and they don't smell bad either.
My dog really loved these treats. I was unsure if he'd take to it initially but I was really surprised. He seemed to love the texture and flavor. Not to mention the odd shape made it more fun for him to eat too. I also loved that these were a healthy option too.
Our 35 lb cattle dog took a little time to warm up to this treat, not sure if it was the general shape or what. However once she warmed up to it she went to town on it. My one complaint is that it did not keep her entertained for long. It is not messy so eating on a carpet was not an issue for us as pet parents, no weird smells or flavor. It probably lasted her about 20 minutes or less. Again she liked it but wish it was a bit longer entertainment as advertised.
I received a sample of these for free in exchange for my honest review. My dogs did like them. I have 3 dogs and they all tried them. One of my dogs threw up the first time I gave these. I waited a week or so and tried again and this time 2 of my dogs threw them up. They say that they are highly digestible so I was surprised. Unfortunately I would not purchase these for my dogs for this reason but they might be fine for yours.
My dog loves these fun treats! She plays with them, throwing them in the air before she eats them. They have a unique shape that seems to make them easier for her to hold. I received a free sample of these treats.
