    Two Thumbs Up

By Kinze on Dec 21, 2017

A note from Kinze: Finally!! A engineering team that knew what my master mom wanted! I'm very fortunate, I get to run around on several acres and sometimes I play hide and seek and see if master mom can find me. Now she wins all the time! I love pleaseing her! Sincerely, Kinze. A note from mom: I have to agree with Kinze. This is by far the best tracker on the market. It tracks where I can find Kinze in seconds! The battery life is great! The locations finder is great! The tracker notifies me when the battery needs charging and when it is charged, which only takes a couple of hours. It's light weight and easy on and off! I am very pleased! Thank you Whistle three. And thank you Chewy for promoting a product that your customers would be pleased with. Now as great as it is, can you put a recorder on the device so I can record a short messsge like, "go home, Kinze"? I then can push a button on my phone and it replays. Just wondering... … more

The worst experience of my life

By Abby on Jan 11, 2018

I ordered two trackers about a year and a half ago. One worked fine and the other didn't work, sent it back, it didn't work, sent it back, it didn't work. I did this 8 times. Every time a different issue. Customer service continues to tell me it is because there is not service in my area, but there is I ordered two trackers about a year and a half ago. First tell me they use at and t towers then Verizon (I have Verizon and there is really good coverage in my area). Meanwhile I have one tracker that works, so there must be coverage right? I ask for a refund because they sold me a product that they claim can literally not work for me or they can just not supply me with a fictional device and they refuse. Do not waste your time! … more

  • Ridiculous battery life

    By on

You have to remove and recharge this battery every three days! The day you charge it, it is fine. The next day, you get an email warning that the battery is low. The next day, the battery is dead. This cycle is constant, so there is only ONE day that the battery is fully charged! It is a pain to take this off of your pet every third day to charge it. It is going back.

  • Doesn't Work

    By on

I've had this for about a week and so far it hasn't worked once. Sometimes it just spins around and can't locate my dog. Sometimes it shows where my dog was five or seven minutes ago (not useful), and sometimes it shows that my dog is at home when we are a mile away. The Whistle customer service rep says according to her records it's working.

  • buyer beware

the first time I used, it fell off my dog while he was bird hunting in heavy cover. It was transmitting at the time, so it was obviously attached correctly. Even though they claim to have a "90 day risk free guarantee" they refused to replace it. Terrible customer service, and fraudulent guarantee. Plus, the tracking function of the ap is archaic. It will show your dog's location, but not your own. Might come in handy if your dog gets lost in an urban environment where you can track bt street names, but if they are out in the wilderness, forget about it.

  • How come no one can spell 'peace of mind'?

    By on

How come no one seems to have a GPS tracker for your pet that is SMALL for a cat or miniature dog? They can make everything else itty bitty - why not this?

  • Lacks Key Features That Should Be Standard & Misleading Marketing

    By on

I bought this device off the assumptions I made from their marketing. I suppose I should have read the fine print. Problem 1) Monthly subscription required after you go to activate device Problem 2) You don't have reasonable control over safe zones. They give you a standard diameter that encoimpasses the entire block my house is on. You cannot make a smaller safe zone. So I won't be alerted until after my dog has left my neighborhood. Problem 3) Battery life is poor Problem 4) Customer service is aware of the shortfalls yet can provide no ETA n any improvements

  • Disappointed

    By on

I've had problems with this device maintaining connection to my wifi, even though I have a booster and the signal is strong throughout my home. As a result, it notifies me repeatedly (and by that I mean over a dozen times a day) that my dog is over half a mile away on a highway. The assistance I've received from the manufacturer has not helped resolve the problem. The battery lasts only a day. I had an earlier generation of this product that had a base and it worked pretty well until it no longer held a charge. This one does not accurately track my dog and does not give me accurate updates.

  • Great idea, but not quite there yet, technologically!

Great idea, but not quite there yet, technologically! I needed the Whistle 3 to track and locate an old, set-in-his-ways, tomcat (actually neutered). I live in the middle of nowhere and the old cat, Felix, keeps disappearing for days. It is terrifying! He is an indoor/outdoor cat. I would keep him in the house, but he begs and begs at the door to go out, and then sometimes he just, poof, disappears. The tracker cannot tell you where the pet is within the safe zone, so if he is hiding or hurt, you have to move your safe zone and then disable your wifi to find the pets location. Then, it only gets you within 90 feet-ish. If the animal is in or under something, and not out in the wide open Great idea, but not quite there yet, technologically! The Whistle 3 needs a manual turn on blinking light and an additional feature for up close tracking, like a radio receiver. Also, and this is the most disturbing part, the very helpful support staff all goes home at 7:00 PM. I was frantically trying to find Felix before the battery ran out and the thing stopped tracking for some reason. I called customer support only to discover that support is limited to days. VERY bad!! They need 24-hour support! Felix is home for now and I hope to find a collar more fitting to our needs. Chewy was GREAT!! I got a refund the moment I contacted them about not liking the product. I will buy for them very often!! Toni S., the support staff for Chewy, was very nice! … more

  • Do not trust it

    By on

I have two german shepards that run my 5 acres inside an underground fence. I bought this unit to make sure they stayed home. For the first few hours it worked great, but then could not track or find them for over 13 hours. Both dogs were in the yard, but would have never found them if they were lost with this product, and no customer support, no answers as to why it wouldn't work. Chewy was great about taking it back, Whistle so far has not done anything.
