Feeding Instructions

How much food your dog eats each day is dependent upon size, level of activity, stage of reproduction, and environment. When feeding in measured amounts, feed according to the weight of your dog. Use this table as a general guide to determine how much to feed your dog.

WeightDaily Feeding (Cans)
5 lbs1/3 - 2/3
10 - 20 lbs1 – 1 1/2
30 - 40 lbs2 - 2 1/3
50 - 60 lbs2 3/4 - 3 1/4
70 - 100 lbs3 1/2 - 4 1/2
  • For dogs over 100 lbs add 1/3 can of wet dog food for each additional 10 lbs.

Puppies and pregnant or lactating females may consume two to three times the recommended daily amount. Adjust feeding level to maintain optimum weight and condition. Feed your dog according to the level of activity and individual needs. Cover and refrigerate unused portions. Keep fresh water available at all times.

If feeding with dry food, reduce wet amount by 6-oz for every 1/2 cup of dry food.

Transition Instructions

Slowly transition your pet by choosing one of Whole Earth Farm's recipes and mix it with your current pet food over the course of 5-7 days. Continuously increase the amount of our kibble or canned food while decreasing the amount in your dog’s current diet.

    Delicious!

By headbear on Dec 28, 2020

This sayeth my two cocker spaniels. I've had dogs all of my long life. I have never seen such a positive reaction to a new food. They gobbled it up like animals! :) It does smell delicious and contents look good as well with an appealing gravy. It is a soft chunky stew and easy to chop up a bit in the bowls. A little is mixed in with their dry kibble. We are forever fans now. Happy dogs!

    clean plates

By cappy on Nov 14, 2020 Top 250 Contributor

Chocked full; little liquid; fairly large chunks; healthy ingredients; both dogs clean plates; poo is really good - no runny tummies; senior (15) Catahoula loves it and licks the plate. (the cat sometimes gets a few pieces and loves it - so it must be good.)

Dogs would not go near it

    By Doggymom3 on Nov 29, 2020

My dogs did not like it at all. At First, they ate some and got sick and now they won't go near it. Money wasted. I did try feeding them gradually and it did not work. 0/10 for me

    Picky eater won’t touch

    By Taylor90210 on Nov 23, 2020

She is very picky, I’ll say that. But even on an empty tummy she was uninterested, so definitely not “for every dog”

    Excellent Food

By jhuf on Feb 16, 2020 Top 1 Contributor

Our dogs go crazy for Whole Earth Farms canned food. Especially the Stews. We can add the Turkey and Salmon to the top of that list. They all enjoy every lick of it. We like the wholesome ingredients and health benefits that come from each can. Highly recommended.

    Cocoa gives it an "A!"

    By Cocoa14 on Oct 29, 2019

The company was recommended for quality products on a dog-food quality advising link I subscribe to; the price is very "do-able;" and the taste is apparently spot on, as Cocoa eats her kibble dinners, now topped with a few dollops of Whole Earth Farms' Hearty Turkey and Salmon Stew, far more quickly than she used to eat her dry kibbles, alone. It's a keeper!
