Does this have to be rehydrated? Or can you sprinkle the powder on their food?

The product can be fed dry or rehydrated with water as per the directions on the bag. In its dry concentrated form, the flavor will be very strong and could be less palatable for a dog or cat. The two recommended ways to feed are to rehydrate with water and feed alone as a snack or to mix the dry powder into a pets favorite canned food and serve.
Are there any other ingredients besides pumpkin?

This treat is made of 100% pure instant pumpkin puree by freeze-drying canned pumpkin.

great product!

had to write a fair review after seeing my favorite freeze dried pumpkin brand get 2 stars.. this powder is incredibly convenient, i've been giving it to my cat for months now and its much easier than the pumpkin cubes i used to make in the freezer and have to microwave. i just put a little water in the bowl, sprinkle the powder on it and scoop his food on top. he loves it and it helped lower his idiopathic hypercalcemia :) if you don't like scooping it out of the bag you can easily transfer the powder to a jar or other small airtight container. cutting open the vacuum sealed bag inside isn't bothersome at all and helps me feel confident in its freshness. will definitely be sticking with it for the foreseeable future!

Powder? What powder?

I have ordered pumpkin powder before for my cats. What I got was a powder. But this brand is something else entirely. I could feel it through its outer package. It was a solid block of something. I opened the outer packaging and there is an inner package of a hard orange solid block. I didn't especially care for that. Went looking for instructions on the outer packaging. Those instructions are not obvious. They should have been included with the inner package I think. I had to read everything on the outer package till I found this: STORAGE: Cut open the inner stay-fresh, vacuum sealed pouch and transfer powder into outer resealable bag. There ate further instructions under INSTRUCTIONS about adding water to recreate a pumpkin puree. Others might like all this, but should at least know that's what they're getting when they order. I just didn't expect this and will just toss it and return to the other brands where the product comes in powder form in a jar and I can mix a little powder in my cat's food.e. Several of those powders are organic too. This one is not. It's just Libby's canned pumpkin. If you want the Libby's canned pumpkin puree, buy that, scoop it into an ice cube tray, freeze, then put the frozen pumpkin cubes in a resealable freezer bag, and take out a cube as needed, and thaw. I have tried that before except my cats won't eat it that way. But I can usually manage to sneak some powder in their food or use the Weruva pumpkin pouches (not the Tiki Cat).
