    Fixed our dog’s gland issues!

By Katie on Feb 9, 2021

This freeze dried pumpkin is great—vet recommended that we increase our dog’s fiber intake because she was getting clogged glands. We give our 40 lb dog one piece a day, sometimes half a piece if it’s big. She likes eating it, and I like that it’s simple with only one ingredient. We noticed an almost immediate improvement, and with consistent use she has absolutely no issues with her glands. Depending on how much you give your dog, these could be much more cost effective than the special gland treats. For us it definitely was, especially since we bought a lot of bags when there was a deal. If your dog needs fiber, give it a try!

    limited-diet dog loves these!

By EskiMom on Feb 3, 2021

I've been giving my American Eskimo the dehydrated sweet potato treats for a long time. Kenta is on a no-whole-protein diet for bladder crystals, so is on prescription special hydrolized protein food & has limited treats options. I decided to give the pumpkin ones a try, & they've been a big hit. The sweet potatoes are big enough I have to wrestle them apart, but these pumpkin treats are variety of smaller sizes. and he loves them! (btw, anyone who has a dog on a similar diet: kenta also takes epilepsy meds 3X/day, & when the bladder diagnosis hit, at first I thought losing the pill pockets or peanut butter option was going to be a problem. Then I thought of wrapping his pills in a rectangle I've been giving my American Eskimo the dehydrated sweet potato treats for a long time. Burnt black

By Gypsymom on Feb 22, 2021

Bought two bags of these pumpkin slices for the first time recently. Opened the first bag yesterday and they were nothing like what was pictured on the website. Inside the bag was a bunch of blackened burnt shriveled curled pieces. You could hardly tell what it was supposed to be. I highly doubt the nutritional content of such burnt offerings. Definitely will not be buying these again.

    They weren’t fans

By AllofGodsCreatures on Feb 16, 2021

I was shocked when my 70 pound dog, who normally eats anything she sees, wouldn’t touch these. I passed them to my daughter who has a yorkie and then to my sister to try for her poodle. Neither of them would touch them either. Maybe we got a bad package or it could just be that neither of our 3 pups liked their taste. Since they voted unanimously, I’m scoring these treats as a 1 star.

Not a bad product, my dogs didn’t like

    By Laureltree27 on Feb 5, 2021

My dog had been loving a freeze dried pumpkin treat that chewy does not carry. This appeared to be the closest product they carried. She is not picky about her treats and this is the only one I found she would not eat. I’m not sure why, it is like jerky or dried fruit. I don’t think this is a bad product my dogs just didn’t like it.

    All dogs are different

By AmandaK on Jan 19, 2021

I bought a bag of these as a gift for my friend’s dogs. Both dogs really liked them. One of the dogs has IBS and this treat didn’t disagree with his tummy. Since her dogs liked them so much, I bought a bag for my dogs. Neither of my dogs will even taste it. They both like pumpkin so I can’t imagine why this treat isn’t appealing to them. I think the product is good but my girls are just picky.

These contain more than the single ingredient it states on the package

By AZpawMama on Jan 13, 2021

My pup has always loved pumpkin and sweet potato, but she will only eat them if the are the actual natural source, not if something is just pumpkin "flavored." I bought these pumpkin slices because the package states the only ingredient is dehydrated pumpkin, nothing else. No added flavors, preservatives, artificial coloring or any other added substances. As soon as I opened the bag it was obvious these were not just dehydrated natural pumpkin strips only. The smell alone is an unnatural chemically seasoning type of smell, and every piece is covered in some sort of powering coating that literally has multiples colors to it similar to artificial pumpkin flavoring or mixtures of cinnamon, nutmeg My pup has always loved pumpkin and sweet potato, but she will only eat them if the are the actual natural source, not if something is just pumpkin "flavored." I bought these pumpkin slices because the package states the only ingredient is dehydrated pumpkin, nothing else. No added flavors, preservatives, artificial coloring or any other added substances. As soon as I opened the bag it was obvious these were not just dehydrated natural pumpkin strips only. The smell alone is an unnatural chemically seasoning type of smell, and every piece is covered in some sort of powering coating that literally has multiples colors to it similar to artificial pumpkin flavoring or mixtures of cinnamon, nutmeg, and lots of clove you find in shakers in the baking isle. Whatever the powder coating is, it's not just natural pumpkin. It was blatantly obvious to me as soon as I opened the bag, but hoping I was wrong, I offered one of the strips to my dog. If it's something new she hasn't tried before or isn't quite sure what it is but is interested in it, she'll take a few seconds to investigate by smelling each side before she decides if she'll try it or not. Then there are certain things she barely gets close to, takes one very short, quick sniff, then won't even consider getting close to her face again. I know dogs can smell things we can't, so I trust her judgement to know when something isn't good for her or has something off about it. So when I know she loves dehydrated pumpkin strips because I make them at home, and she wouldn't even come near the supposedly single ingredient strip I pulled from this bag, that confirmed my suspicion that these strips are NOT what they claim to be. Money is extremely tight right now for a lot of people, and I spent money I really didn't have to spend in order to treat my dog to one last treat because I wouldn't be able to get her any more for awhile. I would have never spent almost $10 on these strips if they had disclosed everything that was actually in them instead of falsely claiming to be a single natural ingredient product. I'm beyond disappointed in this item, it has completely shattered my trust in the brand and company who makes them as well, and will never purchase one of their products again. … more

The Golden Girls give these treats 5 paws!

By JCondon on Feb 5, 2021

My Goldens, Molly and Izzy LOVE these treats! This is the first time I purchased them- and the Golden Girls are crazy for them. I love that the only ingredient is pumpkin- and I know they love the yummy taste and how chewy they are!

    Love the idea..

By Jamie on Jan 3, 2021

I love the idea of these, all natural, one ingredient, and low in fat. Unfortunately we have 4 dogs in the house, and none of them will eat these. Some are chewy, and some are hard, but the dogs wont eat either. I can't give it a lower rating, because they are good quality, but I can't give it a better review since the dogs wont touch them.

    Scottie’s liked them

By Scottie on Jan 4, 2021 Top 1000 Contributor

I like to look around for new things to give my Scottie’s and in my last order I picked up some new things including these pumpkin slices . They ate them with no problem but I think it made one of them gassy and maybe have an upset stomach. I’m going to try again to see for sure that it was this product since they do like them.
