What animal bones are used to make the charcoal? My dog has severe allergies and I must know before I purchase.

SPORTMiX Wholesomes Grain-Free Premium Gourmet Biscuit with Natural Bone Charcoal & Mint Flavor Dog Treats is made of cattle bones which are first cleaned and sun bleached before the charcoal process. However, the charcoal does not include cattle skulls and backbones.

will it not only help my dogs bad breath will it help them with their farts

The crunchy texture helps remove plaque and tartar to support healthy gums while the bone charcoal and mint flavor have the added benefit of keeping your dog’s breath minty fresh. It is not designed to help with gas.

Although the manufacturer does not make any claims that their Char-cool Bites will help with bad breath, they have had many customers state that these treats do make their dog's breath smell better, depending on what is causing the bad breath. Their treats are not formulated to treat or prevent any specific health conditions.

Dogs enjoy them

We have tried the cheese-it type treats from this brand in the past and decided we would give these a try. I’m not sure what the benefits of charcoal treats are, but the dogs seem to like them! They are close to the size of the medium milkbone treats, but they don’t seem to be as hard as my littlest dog has a much easier time chewing these.

All 3 dogs like them

I was skeptical at first, charcoal and mint doesn't exactly seem like a dog's ideal treat flavor. All 3 of my dogs love them. Can't beat the price either. Only thing I'd say is if your dog is on medications, go very easy on any products that include charcoal as the can inhibit absorption

EXCELLENT!!

My doodle has gas problems. She has significantly less gas and the little bit of gas she does have is not as doesn't smell as bad and dissipates quicker.....thanks to these biscuits. Better breath too. I tested by not giving them to her for a few day. The gas and bad breath came back. Once again went away when I started giving her the biscuits again. NO PROBLEMS WITH BROKEN PIECES. All biscuits were whole when delivered.

Minty Breath

My Standard Poodles & Yorkie have enjoyed these Charcoal and Mint treats for years. The Yorkie likes them broken into small pieces while the ST Poodles love them whole. They all have great breath and the treats also help to keep their teeth clean. Double win!

broken pieces

I have big dog and these are small, but doable except for the fact that 75 percent or so of the bag were BROKEN PIECES. That's what you get if you get at discount seconds bin..... disappointed. The pups liked the biscuit pieces

Charcoal bones

The bag is full of broken pieces. I have to dig through the broken pieces to find the whole bones for the big dogs and use the broken pieces for the small dogs to use them!
