Subpar product
The leash is poorly made . I was walking puppy and she broke off from leash and ran away , luckily we got her back . We only used the leash about 10-15 times as the puppy has had surgery since we got leash and was not allowed to go for walks for a few weeks . I would not recommend this product to any one with a dog over 5 lbs .
Good Upgrade
We had a smaller size of this that we have used for a year or so and it was great and still in good shape. We wanted a stronger and thicker strap as our dog grew and are really pleased with this one. The grip on these is really comfortable to hold and is made with just the right angle. The mechanism for letting out the lease, locking it or releasing it to retract all work very easily and smoothly. Our dog loves the freedom to walk around and sniff while we can just stay on the sidewalk, the lease adjusts no matter what. The 16' length is just right for us, any longer might get caught on something during use.

Overall a good retractible leash. Lasted for 3 years. The gel is coming out of the handle so time to get a new leash. Going with a different brand this time.

Works like a charm
