Ordered the wrong item, but it may actually be the right one...
Squirrels. (sigh) I set up a separate feeder for them with nothing but sunflower seeds so they'd ignore my songbird feeder. That's working. Scattered these shelled peanuts on my back patio. OMG. The squirrels AND birds have gone bonkers. I'm seeing varieties I've never seen before. Thinking about adding these shelled peanuts to the sunflower seed feeder. More on the ground for bird grazing?
Products are great
I have never been disappointed in any product from chewy. They are all quality items. The problem is delivery. Although we have an enclosed area for packages, they are always left on the outside steps despite inclement weather
Birds and squirrels are delighted with the peanuts as am I because they were easy to get.
All of chewy bird products are great even my deer eat them
Squirrels seem to like it.
I use these peanuts to make my own squirrel mix. I take the regular squirrel mix and add black oil sunflower seeds, and a bag of these peanuts. Seems to make the squirrels (and a few birds) very happy.
Too small for feeder
These peanuts are too small and fall right out of my mesh peanut feeder.
birds aren’t crazy about them
The nuts are really small and have the red skin on them still. I don’t know exactly what effect that should have, but our birds don’t care for them, and I let the birds write the review.
Nice peanuts, but not popular
This is a lovely bag of peanuts but the squirrels in my yard do not like them. They toss them on the ground to look for other things in the squirrel feeder.
OK for second choice
I only got this brand because the Lyric 10 pound bags were not available, and I prefer the white peanuts over the red skinned ones--less mess. Otherwise a pretty good value.
The birds love them so I am happy. 99% of the peanuts were whole, not many broken nuts, which I was happy about.
