I purchased the largest size about a year and a half ago for a stray momma cat and her 4 newborn male kittens that moved into my enclosed porch (my dog hated cats). The pen has met every stage of their development in every way, with room for beds, bowels, toys etc. The mesh panels provide plenty of ventilation, have held up to all the climbing from growing kittens. The removable top allowed Momma to jump in and out, with the bonus of the kittens favorite game of trampoline, collapsing the sides as they got heavier, but the sides popping back into place when straightened. The zipper on the one door stopped working after about a year of heavy use, just spun it around to use the other door as that is where I feed Momma separate from the boys who all have forever homes here. Ps. My dog now loves his kittens and Momma!!
This has been a lifesaver! My Greyhound recently fractured both his front legs, and I needed a safe enclosure for him to recover. Initially I was using xpens but when he would stretch out his legs would get stuck between the openings and he would cry out screaming. I was terrified he could refracture a leg. I purchased the large 62 x 62 x 36, it is very nice and tall enough which is hard to find. It’s also large enough inside that I can sit or lay down with him comfortably. It is well-made and sturdier than most others. My Greyhound loves it, it’s like a cozy dog den especially when you stuff it with a nice dog bed and pillows. I liked it so much I purchased an additional one that I could use outside and they are so easy to move around plus it keeps out most bugs & mosquitoes! My only disappointment is that the beige portion is a bit orangey. The second one I purchased is the black one which is beautiful, wish I had purchased two black ones. Needless to say my dog and I are both happy, they are working out wonderfully and I would highly recommend these!
I give points for sturdy. Our pup became fixated with chewing the one grommet on the side wall. Taped shut well with repellent spray did not do it. We had to close up the rig and will have to try again. Our dog is crate trained yet this containment he has not adjusted to,. I have no doubt I can re-sell the rig. Gonna give it another chance and get back.
I purchased the XL size which is big enough for both of our Lhasa Poos to sleep in. It was very easy to put up and the zip open top makes it easy to put the puppies in.
What a fun way to have outdoor time for kittens who cannot go free range. Plenty of space for beds, litter box, food and water bowls, toys and play area. We call this the bubbies cabin and they love the freedom to be outside and not in a family members arms. Perfect when the weather cooperates and the babies can have some outside time. The colors even match the main house and the kittens cabin looks like it was meant to be on the yard! Really does fold down easily and the carrying case is wonderful. Great choice and purchase! (Bonus - we believe that if we ever had to travel with the boys that this would be the perfect hotel room kitty cabin!)
What a waste. Would’ve been awesome for my nursing cat if it came in one piece! It comes with the top separate, and the zipper on mine is broken so it’s literally only half functional.
When we take road trips we've been taking our doggie's "hut" for her to sleep in. It takes up half of the car's backseat. We bought this for her to have a safe place to be when we visit folks with cats and a place for her to sleep. First night, she loved it! We put her bed in it and she jumped right in. We left the detachable roof off the first night but when we went to go sit by the outdoor fire pit, we zipped her and she was just fine! And cozy! She is a sweet mutt-terrier and weighs about 13 lbs. It would easily hold a smaller bed and a food bowl. It's very well made, sturdy, and fits right back in the carrier.
This product did not work for me. I had issues with the zipper right out of the box. The playpen keeps falling in on my 3 month old kitten. She cries and is now afraid of it.
It’s spacious and great for my puppy. However, he is a master escaper and was able to unzip and then break the zippers. Then chewed a hole at the bottom of one of the door openings. Just two days after I bought it. Ugh
I bought this to use for socializing a feral cat. The sides are great quality as she climbed up them multiple times with her claws and didn't damage the playpen. The fatal flaw of this product is the quality of the ceiling zipper. My cat was easily able to pop the zipper tracks apart just by whacking at it. Once the zipper became misaligned, I've been unable to fix it. This would probably work fine for a dog but is not a great product for cats.
