Instructions

  1. Simply pour 2 to 3 inches of World's Best Cat Litter™ into a clean, dry litter box. For the best results, do NOT mix with a non-clumping litter.
  2. After your cat has used the litter box, simply scoop the clump. For good hygiene, you should remove all clumps and solid waste daily.
  3. Maintain 2 to 3 inches of cat litter in the litter box at all time for long lasting odor control.

Some cats prefer to have their litter changed gradually. Start with only a third of World's Best Cat Litter™ added to your current litter. Then, once your cat is more familiar with it, change to two-thirds. After that, use only World's Best Cat Litter™.

Frequently Asked Questions

How did World's Best Cat Litter™ get its name?

Our company started back in 1996, when a group of scientists set out to create the best clumping cat litter possible. What they discovered was a revolutionary process that turned our natural ingredients into a cat litter that delivered concentrated power for a cleaner litter box—with less hassle and less litter. After several tests with consumers, we quickly realized that our litter could go by no other name, and World's Best Cat Litter™ was born!

What formulas of World's Best Cat Litter™ are available?

We have a total of five formulas that all deliver the concentrated power of corn so you can do more with less litter. The Original Series offers long-lasting litters with outstanding overall performance.

  • Clumping formula for homes with one to two cats
  • Multiple Cat Clumping formula for homes with two or more cats
  • Lavender Scented Multiple Cat Clumping formula for multiple-cat parents who enjoy their litter with a light, all-natural floral scent

Advanced Series products deliver our hallmark concentrated power, but add unique ingredient combinations that solve specific problems for cat owners who demand even more out of their litter. This series is available in the following formulas:

  • Zero Mess™ is the multiple-cat-strength litter that guarantees fast and easy cleanup with 2X better clumping and 2X more odor control, so you get less mess with less wasted litter. It's the only litter that combines the concentrated power of corn with super-absorbent plant fibers that quickly trap liquids in tight clumps, so you don't have to chisel and scrape the box. Scoop once and you're done.
  • Zero Mess™ Pine Scented delivers the fast and easy cleanup of Zero Mess™. Plus, it adds a blend of real pine ingredients for a gentle, natural scent you'll love.

What are the differences between the Original Series and Advanced Series formulas?

To satisfy the needs of all cat parents, we offer two series of litters that deliver the concentrated power that helps you do more with less. The Original Series offers long-lasting litters with outstanding overall performance. The Advanced Series delivers long-lasting litters purpose-built to solve specific problems.

What makes World's Best Cat Litter™ environmentally friendly?

All World's Best Cat Litter™ formulas are made with 100% natural and renewable ingredients. Our formulas contain no synthetic additives, chemicals, clays or perfumes, and they are made from sustainably grown ingredients—not mined or drilled using heavy equipment. We use an advanced, patented process to create formulas that harness the natural absorbency of renewable ingredients. World's Best Cat Litter™ contains no artificial chemicals or silica dust, so it's pet, people and planet friendly!

How does Lavender Scented Multiple Cat Clumping formula impact people or pets that suffer from allergies or sensitivities to fragrance?

As with any new product you introduce into your home, we recommend testing the product to see how you and/or your pets react. Like all World's Best Cat Litter™ products, this formula contains only 100% natural ingredients. However, if you or your pets are sensitive to fragrances, we recommend using our Clumping or Multiple Cat Clumping formulas, which are fragrance free.

How does World's Best Cat Litter™ offer concentrated power and how does it benefit me?

World's Best Cat Litter™ uses the concentrated power of corn to help you use less litter to maintain a cleaner litter box. Our patented production process compresses corn into concentrated granules, giving our litter natural absorbency and long-lasting performance. This allows you to enjoy a cleaner litter box with less hassle and less litter.

Is World's Best Cat Litter™ flushable?

Yes! All World's Best Cat Litter™ formulas have undergone rigorous testing to confirm they are sewer and septic safe. Unlike clay-based litters, World's Best Cat Litter™ harnesses the concentrated power of corn, so you can simply scoop, flush and move on with your day!

Are there any special requirements for storing World's Best Cat Litter™?

World's Best Cat Litter™ is a natural product, so bugs may be attracted to the litter if they gain access. Seal the package or store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place. Do not place litter boxes outdoors in humid locations.

Is World's Best Cat Litter™ more expensive than other litters?

Nope! With World's Best Cat Litter™, you get more for your money because it harnesses the concentrated power of naturally absorbent corn for long-lasting performance. One small bag of World's Best Cat Litter™ lasts one cat 30+ days. How? Our patented process compresses highly absorbent corn into concentrated granules, giving you a cleaner litter box with less litter! Quick-clumping and easy-scooping performance means the rest of the litter stays dry, so you use less, throw away less—and spend less.

Is World's Best Cat Litter™ safe for kittens?

World's Best Cat Litter™ products are made from food or feed-grade ingredients and are safe for kittens over eight weeks of age. In general, veterinarians do not recommend that kittens under eight weeks old use cat litter.

How often do I need to completely change the litter in the box with World's Best Cat Litter™?

How often you need to change your cat litter depends on how many cats you have and how often they use the litter box. World's Best Cat Litter™ harnesses the concentrated power of corn for long-lasting performance, and customers report that they don't have to change the litter as often as with other cat litters.

Who makes World's Best Cat Litter™?

World's Best Cat Litter™ is produced by Kent Pet Group in Muscatine, Iowa. The company is a subsidiary of the Kent Corporation.

  • Dusty and Stinks!

    By on

I ordered World's Best Lavender Scented litter after it was recommended to me. However, I quickly realized how horrible this litter was for multiple reasons. First off, it is SO dusty. The litter is basically sand and it gets EVERYWHERE. Not only does it feel and look like sand when you are scooping, but my cat was tracking it through the house and literally leaving paw print marks on the ground because her paws were so dusty/sandy. Because of the dusty/sandy-ness, the litter did not clump at all and made scooping difficult. Additionally, the litter STINKS! Not only did the box consistently reek of cat urine, but my cat would also smell like urine masked in lavender for quite some time after I ordered World's Best Lavender Scented litter after it was recommended to me. • May it IS the World's Best Cat Litter!

My cats weren't quite sure what this new litter was all about, but I really like it. I think it's going to take them a little while to figure out it isn't the icky clay stuff, but it clumps really well, cleans up quite nicely and seems to keep the smell down. Of course, when you have a cat with IBD, there isn't anything that can completely cut down the smell, but....I like it!

  • Hands down - the BEST litter EVER!!

    By on

My girl kitty has tried different litters and types of litter boxes for the past 15 years - some good, some not so good. I needed a really really good clumping litter for her new electric "box" shaped like a space ship that you can only buy directly from the manufacturer. I tried a clay based litter - too messy and didn't contain the smell enough. Then I tried World's Best w/Lavender... OMG - first off, it is NOT overwhelming with scent unless you shove your nose into the litter. Second - it clumps up fantastically and quickly, and does not stick to the sides. Third - NO SMELL. When I walk in the room, I smell nothing but clean fresh air. This is truly a remarkable product!

  • Best Litter Ever

I don't know why it took almost ten years of cat ownership to try this "litter." It's great for my asthmatic cat, as it is low/no dust, it's environmentally friendly (flushable), it doesn't track around my house (great for my toddler's sake), it clumps REALLY well, lasts longer than clay litter, and covers smell very well. I have one large litterbox for two cats, and with daily scooping and weekly full litter changes, the box is cleaner and EASIER to clean than it ever has been. You don't have to wipe out gross clay streaks that are stuck to the box when you dump it, as this corn based litter does not "melt" like the clay stuff. Dumping the box = dumping the box. I tried unscented too but I don't know why it took almost ten years of cat ownership to try this "litter." It may cost more than regular litter by weight, but because it's light weight it actually evens out or lasts longer. Try it. Just do it. It's worth every penny. … more

  • I liked it. Cat didn't.

    By on

The smell definitely wasn't a lavender that I have smelled before. But it didn't smell bad persay. I read the reviews and someone said they mixed it with the regular litter to lessen the odor and I did that. I placed my cat inside and he freaked out and jumped out and ran away. He held his urine all day and night and wouldn't go near the box. I empied the box and refilled it with just regular litter and he was inside it before I had even walked to the trash. Sigh. And his dusty little feet are leaving footprints all over my furniture. This litter covers the smell of his poop and pee at least. And it doesn't stick to the bottom of the box which is a LIFESAVER.

  • Works well

    By on

I've been trying to find a "natural" litter that works well and actually clumps without breaking apart into useless crumbles. While this one is expensive, it does clump much better than other natural brands. The lavender scent is also nice. Odor control is good although to be honest no brand will ever 100% eliminate that while the feces is uncovered. One complaint would be that this does seem to track quite a bit. I keep a broom by the box to keep it tidy.

  • Great litter

    By on

Originally I bought this litter so the clumps could be flushed after kitty's radioisotope therapy. I already love it after a few days. No dust and the lavender really takes care of that pesky litter box odor. I hate litter dust on my stuff. I have a sensitive sense of smell and this litter really takes care of stank face.

  • Great for all animals

I buy this litter for my ferret's litter pans. Clay litter is a little too harsh for their respiratory systems so I needed something more natural. In came this litter. I bought the non-scented originally, then decided to try the lavender and I really enjoy it. The smell works so well for their odor and lasts forever. Literally, forever. I haven't ever not smelled the lavender scent. The urine clumps crumble a little easier than clay litter-so I bought a small slotted litter scoop and it works perfect. I will always buy this for the ferrets.

OK, I shouldn't have a minimum character count for a title. If Wow does it, that should be sufficient. This litter is fantastic. The Lavender is enough that you can smell it when you open the bag but not overpowering, and it truly kills the odor coming from the box. I have 6 cats. One box is an automatic, the other two are not. All are cleaned out 2 times /day. (well, not everyday. Most only 1x/day) This kills the odor hands down. I have tried various forms of corn cob litter and this is by far the best for multiple cats with multiple boxes that are set up side by side in an environment that doesn't allow as much free air space as one should have with that combo. • Good liter

    By on

I mix this with the red or green bags to assist with any smell. Used alone it may be too strong of a smell for some cats. Cat loves this liter and the ability to flush it is the best! I live in a 3rd floor condo with a dumpster about a block away. No need to run out each time the liter needs scooping. Won't hurt your pipes or septic.
